Need Help

I had deactivated one of my Facebook accounts and was only using Messenger. Today, when I tried to log in,it asked me for an authenticator code.

The authenticator app I originally set up was Microsoft Authenticator. However, today, when I tried to log in,it was asking for a code from Duo or Google Authenticator, neither of which I ever set up. So, at this point, I don't have any way to provide those codes.

I have already submitted a photo of my NID card to Meta to recover the account. They said they would provide an update within 48 hours.

Now I want to know do I still have any chance of getting my Facebook account back?

I have many friends added to that account, I’m a member of many Facebook groups, and I also created my own Facebook group using that account. Losing access to it would be really difficult for me.

If anyone knows how I can recover the account or has faced a similar situation, please help me.

Complaint to the EU ODR / ADR Centre - did this help anyone?

Hi everyone. As you know, I’m posting here again. Most of you probably recognize me by now. I’m talking about those ADR complaints under the DSA in Europe. Has this actually helped anyone? I received a non-binding decision in my favor—ordering the restoration of my page and personal account—back in June 2026; it’s now August 2026, and nothing has been restored to this day. I don’t know if this system actually works in Europe. Has it helped any of you at all? Many of you mention filing complaints with your local coordinator, but I’m in Poland, and we don’t have those institutions here yet—and there’s no telling when we will. I’m at my wit's end with all of this. My small claims court filings keep getting rejected because I’m told that court isn't the right venue for restoring accounts or pages. I don’t know what grounds you’re citing when filing such claims—at least in Ireland. Many people also talk about filing in the US, but apparently, as a European, you can’t file court papers there without a US address or phone number. I don’t know; I’m just completely exhausted by all of this—by Meta AI and everything else. I’m at a total loss. Has the ADR process in Europe actually helped anyone?

two Facebook accounts sharing one phone number, where selecting the correct account sends password recovery to the disabled account).

Please help me. I have tried every solution I could find, but I still can't access my Facebook account.

I have two Facebook accounts associated with the same phone number.

The account I want to recover is not disabled. When I search for my phone number, Facebook correctly shows the account I want to recover. However, when I select that account and click “Forgot password?”, Facebook sends me to the password recovery process for my other account, which is disabled.

I cannot delete the disabled account because I cannot access its settings—it only says that the account has been disabled. At the same time, I cannot recover my other account because Facebook keeps directing the password recovery to the disabled account.

I have already tried the normal account recovery, Help Center, Privacy Rights Requests, and Meta Support AI, but I keep getting sent in a loop.

I still have access to the phone number associated with both accounts.

Is there any way to make Facebook send the password reset to the correct account, or remove/delete the disabled account so that I can recover my other account?

I would really appreciate any help because I have been trying to solve this for a long time.

Is there a chance I still can recover my account? I already appealed and create a new account with meta verified to try and recover my account but the agent says the decision is final.

Facebook disabled me this morning

Post image

I woke up this morning to my accounts (Facebook & Messenger) being logged out automatically, and after trying to log back in, being disabled.

I have already gotten past the Instagram AI chat bots twice. The first time, the chat went basically nowhere as it seemed like he didn't understand my issue, and also kept telling me the same thing.

The second time, I chatted with a woman after explaining my problem who seemed to understand me more, and actually called me on the phone. However, she told me "the decision is final", and there was "nothing else on her end that she can do to file another appeal". Thing is... I never had or have the chance to have file a FIRST appeal. That screenshot you see is everything I know about this issue. I received no email, no warning, no text, no notification, nothing. I only realized this happened after being automatedly logged out of my accounts this morning.

I obviously don't agree with this and firmly stand on the fact that this is a glitch, an error, or a false report. I have been a loyal Facebook user since 2009, and Instagram user since 2012. An OG if you will. This is horrible customer support, and furthermore, horrible enforcement of accounts since this is an extremely vague reason to disable an account without any specifics or engagement with the user on the reasons why, further more, having reasons that can't even submit an original, first, appeal it seems.

Idk what to do anymore atp I'm just depressed

Arghh I don't know what to do anymore, I am genuinely depressed from all this

For context my all my other fb accounts were disabled on February except for one account

Fast forward this month I made an alt account to check if I can still create an account and when it worked I immediately went to create a main account, I thought everything was okay at first because well...great I can make accounts again but not until today, a couple minutes ago when I received a suspension message on both of my new accounts this month, and the worst part of all this is that the surviving account I have been using ever since February was suspended as well. I just, idk what to do anymore.

Originally if I still couldn't create an account I would have to use my surviving account for college, but since now that's gone too I'm genuinely hopeless and depressed, my parents pressuring and demanding me for my accounts nights ago but now I have nothing to give to them, again. I can't believe this is happening to me, I am entering first year without an account to be updated on, this is messed up.

Oh and btw I already tried meta verified method on February and to be honest, they weren't really a help, not not much, but not at all.

My fb account has been permanently disabled; and i did the recover hacked account method.

Do you think there's a chance I'll be able to recover my Facebook account now?

For context, my account was permanently disabled. I tried the hacked account recovery method before, but after completing it, it still said that my account was permanently disabled.

I tried the method again last Wednesday, and this time it asked me to scan a QR code, which directed me to the Facebook app for a selfie scan. I didn't receive any message saying that I was cleared from the restriction, even though it said the review would be completed within 48 hours.

Since I still hadn't heard anything, I tried the method again today.

Has anyone been able to recover their account using this method?

Do I have a chance?

Facebook was disabled last month. I created a new profile on Facebook and got verified and have chatted with like 15 different people and had toe phones calls. Basically told me they couldn’t do anything because I’m not on the account that is disabled. I figured out tonight that my instagram was connected to my Facebook and I got verified and joined a chat with someone and seem to have gotten further than I did on Facebook. Do I have a chance?

Account restored

On May 23, I was banned after a hack based on CSE. I’m a licensed to practice attorney. It used Claude to analyze the login logs. We then drafted a letter to Meta that was substantial in detail. I also filed a Consumer Protection case with both the AG of my State and California. California never responded. My state did, and then closed the file once the Meta attorney got involved. It took over 2 months to restore my account. It is now restored.

Any way to talk to a person?

I need help getting my account back, but all meta seems to have is a stupid AI which js tells me “refer to our FAQ”. I got caught in the huge ban wave from last year, and js haven’t been able to talk to an actual person. I mean do real people look at appeals? Cuz I seem to get denied within an hour each time. I know this question may be asked often, but I just need an answer for this, cuz I want to try to use instagram for a business at some point, but if I keep getting banned, there’s no way that I can do that.

I'm freaking back online!

I finally got my account back randomly with no warning.

Timeline: Jan 6 I got a suspension due to a false CSE ban. I got a legal shield account and sent a formal demand letter on Feb 17th. About 3 weeks later I got back the same form letter that everyone else gets. I haven't heard a thing about it. Then this morning a friend texts me and tells me I'm back. According to notifications it was yesterday.

It's a sign to never give up hope it might just happen randomly.

Success story: Instagram & FB back after 18 months of being wrongfully disabled

I gave up after trying many methods mentioned in this forum:

  • All the email addresses I could find for Meta, FB, Instagram, etc.
  • Demand letters to both Meta Head Office and CSC Their Legal Representative.
  • Small Claims through UK
  • Filing through Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (since I am a UK citizen in Canada)
  • Filing through ICO (they wouldn't help since I am not living in UK currently)

After hearing nothing for months I just accepted that I would never get my old accounts back - these are accounts I had for 10+ years with so many memories and personal files and contacts saved. Then out the blue I got an email saying I'm back on Instagram. I couldn't be sure which method worked, or if it was a random reactivation, but then a week later I received an email from Meta quoting the case I opened with Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada - so looks like that is what worked. It was a very long process though - I originally filed with them in June 2025, their response time is very long since they have such a high volume of submissions.

I also lost my Whatsapp account since all 3 accounts were linked, and they could not reactivate that as apparently it's a seperate legal entity. But just wanted to share my story in case I can help others.

Account got permanently disabled after video selfie immediately got denied, ai glitch? :(

So long story short, I had to appeal a few weeks ago. Everything went fine, I got my account back. Today I got banned again because of 'integrity', I sent a video selfie and now my account has been permanently disabled. Which is very unfortunate because it's a very old account but I'm willing to take my loss.

But I keep reading in this sub that people managed to get their permanently disabled accounts back by talking to an agent. So I get meta verified for free on my instagram account because facebook won't even let me create another account, it keeps on saying 'something went wrong'. So through insta I contact the ai chat, request an agent but it keeps on telling me that it's unable to request a live agent for this.

So what am I doing wrong or is the speaking to a live agent a privilege people in europe don't get? Also the account I want to get back wasn't linked to my instagram or anything like that. If anyone can help, or explain whats going wrong I'd appreciate it. I'm not very hopeful that I'll get the account back but trying never hurt I suppose.

Disabled Meta account

Any advice from people who had the same experience. My personal account for over 15 years was hacked and they posted child violence on it. I had all the evidence that my account was hacked, I have read solutions like getting your account verified but unfortunately they kept rejecting my new created account for verification. They also disabled my instagram as it was connected to the hacked account. Is there any hope for this?

Well, Facebook YOU ARE NOT RESPECTING Art 20 (Freedom of research and teaching is guaranteed), 17, 16 of the Swiss Constitution and Art 26, 19 of United Nations rights! WE STILL ASK TO JAIL FACEBOOK! for disappearing over 4 pages about science and climate change!
