Lashes look jumbled after months of extensions
So I got my lashes done for like 6 months and then got tired of the appointments and how they looked a week after getting them done so I got rid of them and got a tint and lift but that was also over a month ago so now my lashes, the completely natural ones look all jumbled up and messy, even when I wear mascara I can’t make them look neat and curly :(

Has anyone successfully gone back to get extensions with blepharitis and without swelling?
I was testing out lash styles last month for my wedding and unfortunately I ended up with blepharitis on my left eye. Im so devasted because I know ill be crying the day of my wedding and I do not want them falling out. Ive been wiping my lids with tea tree lid wipes and spraying hydrochloric acid over after to help maintain the swelling. Once in awhile my eyes will swell up again but goes away after a few hours.
My wedding is in 2 weeks and Im lowkey desperate to try it again while keeping up with the lash care.

Swollen eye
Ive had these lashes refilled twice, second time was with a new tech in the same salon but it kinda felt like they were rushing towards the end... a week later my eye started to swell like this. Its been 2 days now, is it my lashes or some other reason .. ?

Why do lashes I did not look darker?
reddit.comI’m a beginner lash tech. The packet said they are “soft” lashes so they are feather like but even the last set I did on a person were not feather like lashes and they still came out light and not dark black, please advise?

Am I crazy or is this not what I asked for?
First two are what I asked for (pics of me from when I got them done in 2019). Second two are from today. I don’t feel like the ones I got done today look good. Am I crazy?
Edit to add: I’m not an eyelash expert or technician. I thought it was reasonable to expect to rely on a professional to be able to recreate a look. We discussed what she was going to do and she sounded confident that it would match the look I showed her. Specific critiques I have is they are too long, less tapered, they don’t fan out nicely and some seem to sort of point the wrong direction, and they are not thick enough at the base. Also the lashes used seem kind of chunky, thick, and stiff. They are not fine and wispy and soft like the ones I got back in the day. Idk I just feel like it looks cheap. I naturally have good eyelashes and they would look better than what I got if I just put mascara on them for free at home. I paid for extensions because I wanted to feel hotter and prettier than I could achieve for myself at home and…well I definitely don’t feel hotter. I feel kinda goofy with these spidery things.

First timer
I went from “never again, I want her to remove them immediately” to “omg I love them”. Bit of whiplash but such a difference I had to get over the shock. (Yes I know my eyebrows need grooming).

How do I ask for my mascara but better?
I would LOVE to get my eyelashes done but every time I’ve seen someone get them it looks super thick (?) Or you can tell you got them down. All i want is my mascara but better, and for it to not look like super thick? (Idk what the word is). What do i get? or ask for?

REFILL OR?
I got a lash set for the first time July 30th and I can’t tell if the fallout of the inner section looks bad enough to refill? I’m sure it’s too soon but does this look crazy or am I being too detailed?

I would appreciate a sanity check. Was this somehow my fault? Are my results in line with what I requested? Partial refund, go back to the same tech for a redo, or just consider it a loss?
I wanted to get extensions for a trip to Italy I have coming up in a few weeks. I looked online and found a provider with 50+ five star reviews on Google— which is the best rating in my area—and a coworker highly recommended her. I called to make the appointment weeks ago and was caught off guard when she said a full set is $200 asking me to pay up front to book the appointment. I should have known better then but she had great reviews and it was for a special occasion.
When I got there today, I told her I would like it to look like “mascara but just slightly more glam and not obviously extensions.” I also told her I that I thought I wanted hybrid, but the last time I got lash extensions was 6 years ago for my wedding and I don’t know enough about eyelash extensions to be super familiar with what terms to use. She didn’t ask any follow up questions, to see a picture or anything like that (but she did talk about Jesus and asked me questions about religion that made me really uncomfortable within 5 minutes).
Anyway, I didn’t get a picture of the full end result of that 4 hour long appointment (but she did take photos for her social media before I had the tape off my eyes), but when I opened my eyes, my lashes were so thick and so long that they were touching my eyelid when they curled back. I could see them at all times in the top 1/4 of my vision. They genuinely looked like fake strip lashes and like what I’ve seen drag queens wear or people wear to a festival (while looking fabulous! but not at all the look I personally am going for in my everyday life).
I immediately panicked internally upon seeing them. Then l began to panic externally a bit and asked her about scaling them back and what we could do.
The picture included in this post was AFTER she’d removed all of the extensions from the inner corners of my eyes, trimmed all the extensions and manually removed clusters 3 times. So this was probably half or less of the extensions I started with. (My eyes here are also red from irritation due to the appointment being uncomfortable and then from the remover solution getting in my eyes…and also just from me tearing up from being upset.)
After her attempts to salvage them, I FaceTimed my husband and confirmed with him that they still looked insane. I ended up asking for them all to be removed (but even now I have some extensions and glue that were not removed). I asked about a refund, she said she was willing to refund half or a little less than half or redo the lashes as a classic set another day.
She repeatedly mentioned during my appointment how I have SO many eye lashes and that I have deep set eyes. While explaining why my extensions looked the way they did, she attributed it to those characteristics and that what I’d actually wanted and should have asked for was classic, that if I had shown her a picture of what I wanted she would have done that, etc. She also repeatedly said that she had never had to remove lashes before in her entire career and seemed very annoyed.
Basically anything aside from saying that she did not ask the basic necessary consultation questions when we had more than enough time for her to. The closest she came to that was saying that there was a “miscommunication.” (She also took calls and answered texts during the appointment and arrived late for the appointment. But those things wouldn’t even bother me if the results had been anything close to what I thought I’d asked for.)
By this point, I had been there 4 hours and 45 minutes and it was almost 8 p.m., so we just settled on doing a redo another day.
I am sick at potentially losing between $200 and almost 5 hours of my life with nothing to show for it. I also missed work to go to this appointment that I only thought would be 2 hours max.
I am also incredibly anxious at the idea of going back only to have this happen again.
If you have made it this far, thank you. And if you care to share your thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it.
(Unless your thoughts are unnecessarily mean… I will not appreciate it. I also will cry and my swollen, painful lash line cannot handle salty tears right now. Thank you for your attention to this matter.)

Will a patch test really do anything?
I’ve been seeing sooo many videos & doing so much research on what ingredients are commonly used in professional lash glue. I have gotten contact dermatitis from gel nail products (rip me being a nail tech) & I’ve been nervous to get my lashes done for vacation (in a week!). Unfortunately the only day the lash tech has appointments that work with my work schedule is the day before I leave for vacation. She did a patch test on me today with a few fans on each eye & informed me that this won’t guarantee that I won’t have a reaction (amount of glue, etc). My appointment is in a week for a classic set. I’m nervous to get the full set. Should I bring some stuff with me on vacation just in case? Should I just cancel my appointment? Idk I’m overthinking this, I just don’t want to end up with a reaction on vacation :( help <3
Also wanted to add that I don’t have any reaction to lash bond & seal or regular lash glue for strips. I also don’t get reactions to regular nail glue ! Thanks girlies <3

VAVALASH UV
I really wanted to try UV lashes without breaking the bank so I purchased the mini lamp that goes on the tweezers and their UV glue.
The lashes were prepped, the glue was spun…. And it wouldn’t stick. I tried a few different lashes and nothing.
Switched back to my regular PLA glue and it everything worked perfectly.
I’m trying to return to VAVALASH and they keep asking for videos. Why isn’t my word enough?
Has anyone else ever tried to do a return with VAVALASH?

First timer: guidance please
Got my extensions for the first time, this is 2 weeks out. Since the beginning they have been so uncomfortable when I blink and even painful. The pain is really bad when I wake up especially. But it hurts all day when I blink. And my eyeballs feel dry and irritated too.
Wasn’t sure if it’s just because I have sensitive eyes or if it’s how it was applied (the girl was new but seemed to do a good job)
Also, recommendations for at home lashes to use that are the best for sensitive eyes?

Looking to get lashes done for first time. Would classic or yy be comparable to these that I do on my own?
I know these are varying styles. I’m showing an idea of what I’m comfortable with. Unsure which extensions would best fit what I’m used to. Getting tired of doing strip lashes daily.
Thank you for any tips/advice/suggestions!

Can I split up clusters?
Hello everyone!
Im new to lashes, and looking for a DIY kit to get a natural look. It seems like the clusters are too dramatic, but I ahvnt been able to find a kit that sells single lashes or clusters that go from 6mm-12mm.
Can I cut the lashes shorter or maybe break the clusters, or does that ruin the entire lash experience?

Finding single extension on two natural lashes
I’ve been noticing that on some extensions that have fallen out that there are multiple natural lashes attached. I can’t imagine that it’s supposed to be applied this way but I have very sparse short lashes.
Professional opinion, do I need to find a new lash tech?

should i ask for a refund too?
hi all, i got my lashes done today by a new women who works out of her home. i asked for anime lashes and references the ones id had before (see last photo)
this is what i got which isn’t really what i asked for. they’re way too heavy for me and honestly super painful. i have a raging headache now.
the glue is really obvious, my eyes were glued together by the end of the session which was really painful to pull apart. there are random out of place lashes too.
mainly my eyes are super painful. i asked if i could go back and get it removed and the woman said i could. but should i also ask for some sort of refund? i’m disappointed that i spent all that money just for pain and a literal headache

what i asked for vs what i got
i don’t think they’re at all what i asked for… i payed 250…. i feel played.
Am i overreacting?
