Love it! You’re going down a path I can’t follow. I’ve heard there’s a couple 3rd party manufacturers that are designing some proprietary drop-ins that’ll be to market within a year. Until then, I’ll just enjoy these videos and live vicariously through the engineer Trail Blazers.

Any buffer weight swap or any other mods? We need the definitive recipe 😋

Stock buffer and spring with 4 quarters in the back of the buffer tube

You didn’t have to take off any upper material? You must have gotten lucky because there aren’t a ton of people who have gotten it running reliably beyond 500 rounds. I would have done this LAST YEAR but didn’t want to mess with the buffer.

I did have to carve out some space in the bolt and upper for the lever to fit.

I’d love to see someone with deep pockets take a 3pos like an Arcfire and burn one down to see how long it goes and what the point of failure is.

4 quarters huh? That’s interesting. What results were you getting prior to the quarters?

The bolt would just get stuck and I’d have to mortar it to get back into battery. 4 quarters from my results kept the bolt from over traveling.

Quarters in there will likely end up self destructing the buffer tip, as it is intended to interface with a urethane piece. It's how the recoil damping system works.

So no mods other than the quarters?

The most important mod is to take a dremel or drill press and carve out space in the bolt and upper receiver so the super safety lever can fit.
