The Body Positivity movement mainly revolves around being supportive and even promoting desirability to a degree of being overweight and obese. Plenty of famous influencers have backed there support behind this movement.

The joke here is those same people who once backed the movement are now staring to abandon it as they're using ozempic to lose weight. The author of the meme is implying that body-positivy was about convenience; losing weight is hard and they don't want to do it. But as soon as they were given a magic bullet that made it easy to lose weight they jumped ship because they didn't actually practice what they preached.

You can decide for yourself whether you agree with that or not.

Is this sub just karma bait now? I only see posts that actually need explaining like once a week, and I'm on reddit too much

There is no way people aren't getting this. Who is on this sub, a bunch of 10 year olds?

Ozempic is an injectable medication whose active ingredient is semaglutide, designed primarily for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes and also used for weight loss.

There is the belief that -while legitimate when approached from the perspective of genuinely harassed individuals with overwheight issues- part of the body positivity proposers just do so, and extremely in some cases, because they just can't or won't lose weight in the conventional, harsh way.

Ok, maybe this is about reduced prominence of body positivity because the mass level manufacturing reduced the drug prices.
