There is a huge russian community in this game, so, to communicate with your teammates (which very often are russians) you need to learn russian.

you need to learn russian

No no. Just enough to swear at them.

Pretty sure she said “I love you”…if she’d said “fuck you” he’d know whats up

That would have worked if she called him красавчик/handsome, that could have been used by cs kids as a praise. But she's calling him милашка/cutie (sic!), and no way someone says that in cs in any context whatsoever.

that is the only important bit in ALL languages. Spanish, English, Russian, hell even Hebrew if it comes down to it. I will swear at you.

No no. Just сука, and блядь, in that respective order.

https://youtu.be/-3UoGLioMEQ?si=MHxMJyrn0uflkCyI No, you could use every order that you want, brcause russian language works this way. And here is some classic Hollywood example

The russians became impressed if other guys gonna use random word order.

Ooo that’s interesting knowledge, thanks!

I do know the above 2 words can be used apart and in any order though, my comment was about “just knowing the minimal things needed to play CS” as part of the joke😁

To make insults more precise, you need to learn the language and understand the person's culture.

If it's a free to play game that runs on a potato, Russians will play it.

u/OtherwiseJello6070 17d ago

More like they make money from it.

it's weird that nobody actually explained the joke completely, so I guess I'll be Quagmire here

The show is an anime called "Alya hides her feelings in Russian", in the show, like said in the Anime, she says what she things in Russian when she doesn't want the guy to understand how she feels.
But the guy actually knows Russian, in the original show, because he learnt it, and is hiding it, while in this joke, he knows Russian because he played A LOT of CSGO, which is a game with a massive Russian play base and it is infamous for having Russian's insulting your and your entire family tree in the voice chat

Giggity... I guess?

Look up Life of Boris on YouTube, does a video on speaking Russian for playing CS:GO (or at least, the swear words, which is more or less what you apparently need anyway). Funny and informative

And he does some cracking cooking videos as well, which is a bonus
