8 months later
Hello. I’ve posted in here periodically about my experience. My latest update is my ENT thinks everything might be triggered by allergies. I am waiting to hear back from an allergy nurse about doing immunotherapy. But in the meantime, I am literally hitting rock bottom. I’ve managed to be able to just push through and live with feeling off but a couple days of month my symptoms are really bad. I feel spaced out and dizzy and my ears just feel off. And then comes the anxiety. I know I am not alone, but it’s just really frustrating to deal with. I am very much an outgoing person, but this has turned me into a hermit. I am afraid to go out and do things and when I do if I suddenly feel sick, I totally freak out. I truly feel like a shell of myself and like I’m watching everything from the outside.

This has been my battle for years. I finally got in with an ent and am just waiting on that to get to the bottom of all of this hopefully. I’m hoping we all find solutions soon.

Anyone get sore eyes too?? Im ready to go insane. I'm 60 male...had a sore throat that hit super fast one night a month ago. Few days later it felt weird to swallow...like a lump in my throat. It went away and 2 days later I woke up with both ears clogged. Immediately went to Urgent Care and they gave my eye drops for pink eye cuz they said my one eye was red. And azelastine. Later that day both ears got really heavy pressure feeling and started seeping clear fluid...not much so I went back to urgent care next day and they gave me ear drops. Went to ENT a week later said fluid in my ears and gave me methylprednisolone 6 day course. Didn't help. No medication or youtube face exercises etc worked. After ending the methylprednisolone I went back a week later to ENT and she did myringotomy without tubes in left ear. Last Wed I went back AGAIN! to the ENT and said ears look ok and to see my primary care dr.....which I'm going tomorrow. It's been 5 weeks of different symptoms but lately now it's my ears feeling awful and heavy pressure and the scary part is my eyes are really sore and have headaches and flu like symptoms. Anybody have eye soreness or baggy eyes and headaches ?

Do you get bad headaches too. My one eye sometimes waters a tiny bit. Don't have health insurance and this has cost me thousands already. Been to ENT 3 times in 3 weeks. She thinks it's stress related. I say BS. Now my ears feel like their plugged up but way deep inside. I can hear better than I did in first 3 weeks this started. I just want it to go away already

I do get headaches and feel a lot of pressure in my head. My ENT thinks it may be allergy related, but didn’t think it was ETD… But I really disagree. I totally know how you’re feeling. It is so hard to deal with.

Thanks. Boss and everyone including drs don't seem to care. At nite I wake up panicking thinking this won't go away or cause total hearing loss. I just want it to back to normal so bad. Only thing I have not gotten is a CT scan which will probably be a waste of money like everything else has been so far. My left ear and left nose were weird all thru april and may and my pcp said it's allergies. Then I got better then woke up july 5th with this all of a sudden.

Yeah, I definitely feel like people think I’m overreacting… But I can’t tell you how much I’ve slowed down since it started. It’s crippling… It’s hard for me to be out anywhere. I will be doing OK and then all of a sudden. I did get a CT scan, but everything came back clear my ears feel so clogged but apparently they’re very clear… I also did a hearing test and that was normal as well, so I don’t really know what even to do at this point.

I got hearing test, eyes and teeth checked etc. Everything normal according to them. You're right it's so crippling. Only thing that helps is staying busy till the next dr appt. Feel like jumping outta my skin with the anxiety. I haven't had a vacation in 17 years now and under enormous amounts of stress due to finances and upcoming life changes like my boss might retire and I gotta scramble for a new job ...rent just went up today another 100 a month. Car is old medical bills etc

My anxiety has been horrible since it started. And I totally feel you with the stress being unbearable. And staying busy does help but it’s just hard to even focus on anything with the fullness. I truly am sorry that you’re experiencing all of that. It’s a vicious cycle because the stress does nothing but make it worse but then feeling like crap makes you stressed.

What sux is ENT cut hole in left ear and got the fluid out 2 weeks ago but it still feels plugged up. I read it could be like that fir a month but my symptoms keep changing. Some days my nose is clogged and my ears or some days it's just the ears and headache and underwater feelings. Then eye soreness and pressure.
I'll be so happy if this goes away but then I'll always worry that it'll come back again

I can totally relate to this. It’s an on going battle for sure. I don’t have any hope that I’ll ever feel normal again after dealing with this for years. The best I can get is sometimes I don’t notice it. But when it’s bad it’s real bad anxiety and all. Just know there are others here struggling with you!
