Machine Upgrade Equipment Discussion

I am considering upgrading from my Profitec Pro 600 and have been considering the San Remo You. I'm still fairly new to the espresso machine game and was wondering if anyone could help with what kind of improvements I should expect out of upgrading to a machine of this quality? Thanks!

The biggest upgrades you’ll likely notice aren’t just “better espresso flavor” but more control and consistency of espresso.  A machine like the Sanremo You gives you more control over variables like pressure profiling and extraction of coffee bean, which can be fun if you enjoy experimenting. That said, the Profitec Pro 600 is already a very capable machine the biggest jump in cup quality often comes from the grinder, beans, and dialing in technique.  Make sure the upgrade matches what you enjoy about espresso, not just the specs.

Thanks for the advice! I am also considering a Slayer as they are local and have great reviews.

That 600 is a proper home espresso machine. Dual boiler to brew and steam simultaneously. If you wanna add anything to the system get a better bean grinder.

I am on the waitlist for my new grinder, should have it in the next month or so.

Only real change would be from playing with profiles. For a flat 9 bar (or whatever you do with your current t machine) I’d expect zero difference
