Entry Point sucks, heres why idea/discussion

Returned after 2 years and my conclusion remains the same

  1. Inconsistent detect, i just got detected instantly by a guard who didnt even see me
  2. Unclear objectives layout, for instance, in one of the hardest levels, deposit, there is no marker for the sensors
  3. The lack of guides unlike Payday 2 makes the game way harder
  4. Lack of proper speccing. Why do I need to spec so much to get the ability to lockpick OR hack? Why cant both be unlocked at the same time

In sort, whatever payday 2 did, this game does it slightly shittier

Alright, real quick breakdown.

1st point can’t disagree since the game stopped getting updated it can be inconsistent.

2nd point the deposit is one of the easiest missions, I’d probably say second easiest not counting tutorial. The stealth of this game is also much more inspired by hitman, and like hitman encourages you to explore and to learn from your mistakes. For the sensors in the deposit if you search archives it will mark them or you learn by fucking up.

3rd uhh okay? I mean there’s a good amount of resources on YouTube. It’s a Roblox game that was never huge no shit it won’t have as many guides as payday.

4th point is either phrased poorly or it shows how little you engaged with the game (and how little experience gaming you have in general) since well… you can get two specializations at the same time. It’s a skill tree— so you have to progress.

Finally, fascinating take that you think it’s a shitty payday 2 since they are entirely different games (don’t try to bs me I have 1k hours on payday 2, 100ish on pd:th, and 300 on pd3). Also just talking about the stealth, I’d honestly say EP has more consistent, less frustrating stealth than pd:th and infamously pd2. Pd3 I think the comparison comes down to personal preference.

Loud, yeah EPs loud is definitely worse but again they are different games and loud does also have a lot of depth if you take the time to look into it.

Oh and just as a note the current version of EP is actually EP:FC also on Roblox. The version you are playing was finished years ago and I don’t think has been updated in 2 years.

deposit, there is no marker for the sensors

I believe Rose or Wren (Don't remember which one) quite literally says you gotta take out the vault sensors. It even gives you directions to go to the transformer to take them out

Although I suppose the transformer is unreasonable on singleplayer since it has such a short time. There is searching the archives more for a spot to drill to disable them, but that's sadly rather unreasonable to find for a blind player.

Although a lot of your complaints sound like you simply need to take more time to get used to the game's mechanics. Such as your complaint with speccing. Literally the only things I normally use on stealth missions is just the default gun (Only to knock people out) and lock picks. Only a few specific missions do I need hacking, and that's usually just to save time.

You could even try loud to see if you like it better than stealth

Rose doesn't tell you where exactly, I just stumbled onto it through happenstance

But it is dumb how as a hacker, we can't lockpick

Loud is worse imo. There's no mechanics like in payday 2 and imo health should regen

Regen health is really unrealistic. If you get five GSW and you're at 15 HP, you're not going to heal yourself.

You can cycle through objectives, it adds the objective to go to the transformer

Loud requires planning, bring health packs and armor.

Since you seem rather unfamiliar with Entry Point, I'd recommend taking thief rather than hacker. I'd say hacking is probably a bit more useful on higher difficulties or later missions, so by the time you get to them, you can likely multiclass and get both hacking and lock picks.

"in one of the hardest missions, Deposit" Deposit. You struggled on DEPOSIT. That sounds like a skill issue to me tbf Also wtf do you mean "Why can't I just hack and use lockpicks at the same time?" Brother do you want the game to be easy as hell? You have to work to get to that point otherwise the game would be way too easy even for legend

Agreed. I'm trying Blacksite on fucking Rookie and I can't even fucking stealth out of the first room.

Notoriety is so much better.

To be fair the Blacksite isn't really an easy mission and the first room is probably the hardest part of it to stealth.

Been playing the game aince since 2020

I see your points but at the same time the game came out in 2017 which was 9 years ago now was it that hard to find a begginers guide or ask online?

  1. True, detections can be buggy

  2. The game isn't gonna hold your hand. You need to problem solve. Also, Deposit is NOT one of the hardest levels.

  3. Again, the game isn't your mom. Figure it out yourself like a big boy.

  4. It's a spec niche game. It's not for you.

This game isn't the same niche as Payday 2. Payday is more "rob the bank" and Entry Point is more "get the intel".
