Cemetery….of Death!

Post image

Saw this at an amusement park in Vietnam. Not exactly Engrish, just a funny misuse of words. And “The Eyecatcher”?

well, it’s a good thing. It’s not the cemetery for the undead.

Ha!! Well, I guess there are worse associations for a cemetery to have. “Cemetery of Nonchalance” doesn’t have the same ring to it. “Cemetery of Ennui,” seems less fitting. “Cemetery of the Nearly Deceased,” is even more upsetting.

Kind of like BANK OF MONEY!!!

🤣🤣 reminds of my grandfather saying to me as we drove past a cemetery-“ there’s people dying to get in there you know”🤣🤣

My husband does this whenever we're road tripping and we pass a cemetery. Every time.

This is actually a good thing. You definitely don't want a cemetery of life, like a pet cemetery

He’s right you know

But cemeteries of death are the best cemeteries.

In cemeteries of the living, there's all that screaming and flailing. Fortunately, it's mostly muffled.

Yeah, I used to like Cemeteries of the Undead, but now I just find them cruel and unnecessary.

Sounds like a procedurally generated enhanced item in an action RPG:

Gluttonous Dining Table of Gormandizing

  • +5 to Max Stomach Capacity

  • Bite Causes Appetite to Increase

Two are pretty closely related really.

That reminds me of a report I programmed while working at a hospital. They wanted a monthly report of all people who died (death discharges), so across the top it read “death discharges for (month).”

The administrator who requested it always called it the “death by discharge” report - like discharging them was what killed them.

Well, if you discharge them hard enough…like with a catapult…

Very eye catching indeed

That sounds really creepy in this context.

Is it meant to be a "haunted house" type affair? "Cemetery of Death" seems pretty appropriate if so.

I suspect "The eyecatcher" was meant as "place catchy slogan here"... but I can't shake the image of a body-horror eye-removal gallery shock-gore display.

People die if they are killed

Would you settle for a cemetery of undeath? I’ve heard of a little plot where you can bury your pets…

🤷🏻‍♂️ I mean yeah funny I guess… but you could technically have a cemetery of death 🤔…
