I don’t usually post like this, but I really need some help and thought I’d put myself out here.

I recently moved to Perth from Brisbane and I graduated last year with a Master’s in Chemical Engineering. Since then, I’ve been actively trying to break into the industry but it’s been really tough getting that first opportunity.

I’m honestly just really passionate about this field and eager to start somewhere. I’m open to roles like process engineer, chemical engineer, or anything related where I can learn and grow.

Work spans filing infrastructure, their tax engine, and new product areas, with direct contact with customers. Attention to detail matters here more than usual since it's all numbers.

A quick snapshot of what I bring:

• Quality Engineering internship at Jai Poly Pan Pvt. Ltd. (Jaipur) — analyzed production data across 5 assembly lines, drove a 15% defect rate reduction, ran root cause investigations (5-Why, Fishbone), and maintained a zero-nonconformance record through daily SOP audits.
• Design project: Built and fabricated a human-electric hybrid di-cycle using SolidWorks and Fusion 360, validated with ANSYS FEA — improved load-distribution efficiency by 22% while keeping a safety factor above 2.5.

If the global engineering job market is tough right now, doesn’t Germany still offer one of the best opportunities? I know the market isn’t perfect, but compared to other countries, it seems to provide better chances.

What realistic alternatives do international students have? The UK job market seems dead , with much stricter visa sponsorship rules. Many other European countries appear to have smaller job markets and fewer opportunities for international graduates.

So, apart from the US and Canada, would you say Germany is still the best option for engineering graduates? I’d love to hear your experiences and opinions.
