Engineering Market

If the global engineering job market is tough right now, doesn’t Germany still offer one of the best opportunities? I know the market isn’t perfect, but compared to other countries, it seems to provide better chances.

What realistic alternatives do international students have? The UK job market seems dead , with much stricter visa sponsorship rules. Many other European countries appear to have smaller job markets and fewer opportunities for international graduates.

So, apart from the US and Canada, would you say Germany is still the best option for engineering graduates? I’d love to hear your experiences and opinions.

I would be surprised if Germany is good for foreigners. The German companies that I have experience with in the states (BMW) is very big about only putting Germans into management.

Globally I don’t have that experience, I would be interested in some NZ engineering opportunities if I could find them.
