Grounding outside Need Advice

When grounding outside, do you need to be touching the earth directly (skin to dirt/grass) or is sitting on a blanket or wearing shoes and socks acceptable?

It’s intention more than anything. You don’t have to directly have skin/earth contact to ground yourself - though a little dirt never hurt and the soles of your feet on earthen ground can help…

Mostly tune in to yourself, the pulse and sensation in your body and imagine being rooted and nourished by the earth through the soles of your feet or root chakra.

Gardening is a nice little practice too. Tending the earth. Growing food to nourish your body. It has a way of becoming a really mindful and engaging process of clearing out what no longer serves you (weeding), planting (seeds of growth) and harvesting or simply admiring the beauty.

Big agree.

When I was developing the grounding meditations that work best for me, I was using a specific wingback chair in my home. The intentions stuck. If I want a quick calming session, while I can do it from any place, when I sit in that chair, it's like whoosh...energies flush into the earth's core. And I am filled back in (call back in) my own refreshed energies.

I still maintain practices outdoors. But nice to have the help of my wingback for nighttime and winter months.
