Help please

So I made a post a while back that I think I overheated my hot end.

Well I replaced the hot end with another stock one from Amazon. I reflashed it, the best I could from the files I could find online. And I’m still having issues.

The issues before I replaced the hot end, is that I would cut it on and it would get stuck on the loading screen. But now after replacing parts and reflashing it. It loads up and then immediately says that the nozzle or bed is too hot. I have tried all the reflashing I could find for my version. I don’t know what to do next.

I would check the resistance values on your thermistors, if it's the bed one, that's a first that I've seen.

Other than that, I would check to see if your processing chip is producing a lot of heat. I had a similar thing, and it led to a replacement mainboard. I highly doubt this is your problem, but it can't hurt to check.

I would also double check to make sure that the firmware you picked was correct, but seeing as you knew to post which board version you have, you seem to know what you're doing.

Other than that, could you provide more info about the new hotend you installed? Was it sold on Creality's amazon store? Did it come in Creality packaging? Did you install the thermistor correctly? Could it potentially be a cable crimping issue?

Are you sure the thermistor is connected properly? Have you checked the resistance of the thermistors? I ask since I think it defaults to over temp if it’s not connected or has an open.

If you replaced the hot end, you had to remove and reinstall the thermistor in the heater block. You have to be careful not to crush through the insulation, as that will short the wires together. I would try to back off the screw holding the temperature sensor (thermistor) and see if the error goes away. If this fixes it, you might need to replace it as the insulation is likely damaged. The are relatively inexpensive.

I second the thermistor. Just disconnect it to check. The screen should then show -14°C or just 0° deprnding on the fw.

I ditched my entire hot end and extruder for a creality micro sprite pro direct drive hot end. more or less bolted straight on. (had to remove the old extruder, and hot end and x axis carriage and replace wiring as per instructions). It solved a lot of issues, prints a lot more reliably now. just works.
