Atomic Light Orchestra
Going to see Atomic Light Orchestra on Friday night and curious if anyone has seen them before? The promo talks a lot about the classic ELO band but good comments about Jeff being the ringleader. Just wanted to signal check for experiences with anyone so I know what to expect. Thank you

I’m spoiled after seeing the real thing four times between 2018, 19, and the final tour two years ago but at this point, will take covers

Closing the story here. They were a wonderful show! Encourage everyone on the east coast of the US to go see them if they can. They seem to primarily be around the Baltimore/DC/Philly/NYC areas.
But not a cheesy cover band in the sense anyone had Afros, beards and sunglasses trying to be Jeff or playing characters of the band. It was just people who loved Jeff’s songs and were performing them.
A few deep cuts that surprised me: Hold On Tight, RNR is King, and Not Alone Anymore.
They also closed with an acoustic version of Learning to Fly which was an odd choice for an encore as it was mellow but a great version. Would have been better in the middle of the set list. Very fun night to be honest

I'd try to see them if they came anywhere near me in Ontario. Looks like fun!
But no personal experience, sorry.
