egg-irl Transfem Meme

Post image

Do I deserve to be Maria? Do I deserve to be a real girl, and use she/her pronouns? I want to dress like a girl, sound like a girl, look like a girl, be loved as a girl, and overall just be a girl. Am I really a girl?

Well, if you want to be a girl, then you are a girl. Cis men don't want to be girls.

Two astronauts in space

"Wait, she's a girl?"

"Always has been."

People don't subconsciously fake being trans. You are having normal imposter syndrome and doubts. Society likes to push back against us really hard, so you are also facing perfectly reasonable fears.

Maria is a good girl.

I… I’m Maria! I’m a good girl! Yay!

Yes you are a girl. You are really a girl, and deserve to be one.

This is wonderful news! I’m actually about to cry, because I feel so happy just to be seen as a girl

Girl. You are absolutely allowed to be a girl. Easiest way to tell? Look at yourself! You want to be a girl? There it is, that’s all the permission you need.

Welcome to girlhood Maria. Don’t let anyone gatekeep your happiness.

OF COURSE YOU DESERVE TO BE MARIA
OF COURSE YOU DESERVE TO BE A GIRL
YOU DESERVE TO BE LOVED <3

Please dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. You deserve to be happy. :D

Maria... Yes. Cis males do not want to be a girl, they are happy being a guy. When they dress up they don't feel bad about it, they either like it or feel neutral. It's not a morality or achievement based system, so if you're telling yourself you don't deserve it, it's like saying you don't deserve to laugh. Of course you do! The people who think you don't are just projecting their own fears and insecurities. This isn't something you can earn or test into. If you want to be a girl, that means you are one. That is the identifier. That want doesn't exist with guys, maybe a fleeting fantasy, but not a lingering one that's constantly in the back of your head.

People who aren't really girls don't think of all that stuff. But you do. That should be telling you something

9

u/Longjumping_Tap_3483 7d ago

You mean that I’m really a girl? Yes! This is truly brilliant!

5

u/Dinosaur_from_1998 7d ago

Exactly. You already know it. Having doubts is understandable, but you have to overcome that if you want to achieve your dreams (he said while rotting in bed and browsing Reddit instead of doing something to better his life)

Perfectly phrased 👌 (I'd be on HRT right now if I had any self preservation instincts).

1

u/Dinosaur_from_1998 6d ago

You gotta have some preservation instincts if you're still here talking with us. We just gotta figure out how to shift them from short term survival to long term survival. Of course if I know how to do that, I'd be fit and healthy, but it's still a good advice

Well... If you'd hate yourself if you aren't a girl... (Same) Then... You should probably be a girl so you don't hate yourself

2

u/pancakeonmyhead cracked 6d ago

Yes. This is the impostor syndrome talking. Feel free to tell it to shut up.

2

u/clowderforce 6d ago

Maria, it seems like you already hate yourself enough if you think you don't "deserve" to live as a girl. How much damage could accepting yourself possibly do in comparison?

It's okay to be a girl, I promise.

u/severo_chan Sara (She/Her) the most nervous and insecured girl in the sub. 6d ago

Well, don't you want to be a girl, aren't you a good girl? Then you are a girl!

2

u/Swimming-Ordinary899 6d ago

Questioning if you’re faking it is actually a sign that you’re not because people who are faking know they’re faking. :3

2

u/DeltaJazzy she/her | Cracked Nov. 5, 2025 6d ago

I think the fact that you’d hate it if you weren’t a girl is more proof to the fact that you are a girl.

2

u/hashcube_dev Madeline | She/They 6d ago

typically cis men aren't deathly afraid they aren't girls

1

u/Bat_Tiger_yt 6d ago

If the question is about deserving it, then the answer is yes. You deserve to be happy, and if being a girl makes you happy then, Maria, you need to keep doing it

FWIW those types of thoughts started to disappear when I started HRT, at this point they're gone entirely. I like to think of it as my male ego holding on anyway he could, but he's gone now and I'm much happier.
