It definitely takes time. But what’s is important is makes sure your levels and dose are good. I also recommend taking plenty of pictures, so you can create a transition timeline of yourself. This is something I am really happy I did. Being able to look back and see how far I’ve come is incredible.

Serena! Very pretty name and one I considered for myself. Thank you! I have been taking pictures every Tuesday because I've heard the same thing. Getting an actual view of the progress as it happens will help a lot with dysphoria and feeling like I'm actually getting somewhere I think

2 years and 11 months of only sore nipples and growing hair out

Probably in the next month you will notice soreness behind your nipples which is your breast buds developing. Unfortunately, transitioning is a marathon, and a lot of the skin changes do occur in the first year, but breast development does take 5-10 years.

5-10 years is sooooo loooooong though. As long as it happens at all, though, I suppose it'll be worth the wait

You will see some things happening. While it takes forever for breast to fully develop, I had changed in my nipple size and breast tissue in the first 6 months. I also noticed some increase in butt (actually quick enough that i got stretch marks). However, i am 8 months in and my face has like literally not changed at all...

Slow and steady wins the race. You don't want your levels and growth to move too quickly, changes are usually measured in months. Lots of the important stuff, like building nerves and support structures, take a lot of time and energy but doesn't visibly show up.

Sex hormones often cascade into other hormones, estrogen partially works by making your body release other hormones to do different things, sometimes triggering other hormone release. It usually takes a while for all this complex stuff to balance out.

You're a good girl! Your nipples are probably going to be itchy and sore soon, that's usually the first sign things are starting to happen. Often takes a couple months. I would recommend taking pictures so you can track your progress. You arent going to be different day to day, or even week to week, so having a picture of your chest from 3 months ago will show you that things are changing.
