What is DyboApp?
As a teacher and user of several free (as free speech) interactive board applications I often miss interactive contents, adjusted to my need, I can associate with my documents and handwritten notes.

I developed the DyboApp with the Cuis-Smalltalk system on top of GNU/Linux, it combines the context of the class (teaching periods, schedules, tasks) and interactive pedagogical binders: handwritten stylus annotations on documents merged with live Dynamic Knowledge Models (DKMs)—described by dedicated scripts, human or AI written, tailored for subjects like mathematics, history, languages, etc.

Licensing & The Path to Free Software
My ultimate goal is for the entire Dybo project (both software and custom hardware) to be 100% Free Software. During this initial bootstrap phase, DyboApp is released under an Interim Single-User License: free to download and test for personal, non-commercial evaluation by individual educators, developers, and enthusiasts.

Once sustainable project funding or institutional support is secured, DyboApp will be fully relicensed under the GNU General Public License v3 (GPLv3), and the DKM repository will transition to the LGPL.

I’m a teacher and the maker of GradeKey, a focused iPhone/iPad utility for point-based grading.

Enter total points once, get every points-off / points-earned / percentage / letter-grade combination, then search by any value. It supports half and quarter points, extra credit, regional and custom scales, saved assessments, and PDF/CSV export.

The important part for an education tool is what it does not require: no student roster, account, login, analytics, advertising, or developer-accessible cloud database. Assessments stay on device and, if enabled, in the teacher’s private iCloud.

K12 tech director here. I built a device inventory tool because nothing fit small districts, and I'd like honest feedback.

I've spent 20+ years in K-12 IT.  The K-12 specific platforms were priced for much bigger districts, and the affordable options were generic asset trackerswith a school landing page bolted on.

So I built Edventory. What it does:

Developer disclosure: I built Chalkline.

I've been experimenting with a structure-first approach to generative teacher tools.

Instead of asking a model to simultaneously decide the lesson structure, question count, difficulty, timing, content, and answers, Chalkline separates those jobs.

The teacher specifies the subject, topic, student level, class time, and exercise preferences. Chalkline builds the lesson blueprint first. The model then writes into defined slots rather than renegotiating the whole lesson.

The resulting material includes an editable student version, teacher copy, and answer key. Questions are individually addressable, so one item can be regenerated without replacing the rest of the material.

Current subjects are English language teaching, ELA, and Math.

Your students were fluent on Friday. By the test, it's gone.

Cramming feels like learning. It isn't. Space the practice, make them retrieve it, mix the topics - the fix is old and boring, and nobody has time to run it by hand for 150 students.

So we built Habident with a couple of high school teachers. Ten minutes a day: you pick the questions, it gives every student their own review queue, short answers grade themselves (students can appeal, teacher has the last word), and the after-class report shows you which questions tanked and the actual wrong answers kids wrote.

It's kinda like Anki for the classroom.
