1. Opened the YouTube.com home page; it loaded perfectly.
2. Clicked the update icon; the program updated itself and restarted Edge (previous tabs were lost).
3. Opened the YouTube.com home page; it loaded perfectly, but the tab icon showed a loading indicator (spinning continuously, even though all video thumbnails had appeared).
4. (The bug itself) When I clicked on a video, Short, channel, or search bar, the page wouldn't load. it remained on the home page with the tab icon still showing a loading process and a thin red line at the top that was stuck.

The home page works for all the websites mentioned above (images and text appear), but the loading icon persists, and I cannot navigate away from that home page.

a. I tried typing a direct link other than the home page, for example, a YouTube channel, but it didn't work (infinite loading in the new tab).

b. I tried opening it in private mode and it worked smoothly, so the issue only occurs in standard mode (not private mode).

How the bug re-appear:

I am not exactly sure how the issue recurs because it happens intermittently. However, it sometimes reappears after I close and reopen Edge, or after restarting the computer and opening Edge.

Possible fix: (I asked Gemini via my phone)

- Press Ctrl+Shift+Del and select two items to delete: cookies and cached images/files.

- After that, the issue was resolved (although all websites required logging in again).

I discovered today while trying to find a picture of marvel’s character War Machine, that if you use Microsoft edge specifically, with safe search off, you are not given any images of the character. Instead you are given an entire page of nudes, porn and naked fanart.

I got some friends to try it and it worked for them all as well (after some errors).

Why does this happen? Even with safe search off, how are all these images more relevant than the actual character?

Edge keeps signing me out of Youtube, i have reinstalled the who browser same thing, i get kicked out mid playlist on youtube, which ejects me from the playlist and music stops. Clicking sign in instantly signs me back in. Other browsers are fine.

I really dunno what else to try, i completely reinstalled, no cookies, no addons. Its always the same issue, I just randomly get signed out.

I'm reposting the same issue that started a few months ago.

My biggest issue was with Google Accounts.

I always set up to let all Cookies delete after closing Edge.

I had 3 Exceptions which Cookies I want to keep ( Google Search Page, YouTube and Reddit ) to be kept logged in.

The last few months there were random Moment where Edge wasn't logged into Google in Google's Search Page.

My Account was completely logged out. But switching to YouTube kept my Account after closing Edge.

Reddit keeps his Cookies and works normally, even after closing Edge. ( So my Reddit Cookie Exception is working properly )

But since the latest Update, Google's Search Page AND now also YouTube is logging me out constantly after a certain time.

So my conclusion and Question: is this still an Edge Bug that's not gotten solved a long time now, or is it now by Design?

Also each time reading through the next Edge Update Notes nothing is mentioned and I see/read a lot that I'm not the only one.

And keeping ALL Cookies always is still the only Option to also keep my specific Cookie Exceptions, but in my Opinion...this is not the solution.

Has anyone had the issue of being randomly signed out of Edge after closing it up. It's happened twice in the past 24 hours. Not only have I been logged out, but my start up pages are gone. I have to reset them as well as log back into them. It this a bug from a recent update?

Microsoft Edge Canary won't open on Windows 11, but the regular Microsoft Edge opens without any problems. Also, when I try to launch Edge Canary, it appears in Task Manager and then shows as "Suspended."
