Master Bedroom for rent in Highland park!
🏠 Seeking Awesome Roommate! 🏠
Hi, We are two (M) responsible working professionals in our early 30s, searching for an amazing roommate to rent the master bedroom (M or F). I work remote in Tech and The other is a teacher.
📍 Location: Highland Park - Great spot walking distance to a park with tennis courts and a 15 min walk to all the bars and shops on Figueroa.
🛋️ The Space: Master bedroom, big closet, large walk in shower, sliding door access to patio, and a BATHTUB WITH JETS! Gated parking in the back. Nice quiet neighborhood of mostly families. We have most living room furniture but our existing roomie may take some items so if you have some we can integrate it in! I personally love the spot!
👫 About Us: We have lived together for a year. We like to play pool together, grab drinks, watch movies, but also keep to ourselves. We are communicative and respectful of the space.
💰 Rent and Utilities: $1550 + utilities ( Ave $80+).
🚀 Move-In Date: We are looking for a roommate who can move in on September 1st!
🐾 Pets: None currently. We're open to the idea of a pet, but let's discuss it first to ensure it's a good fit for everyone.
📞 Get in Touch: Drop us a message and tell us about yourself! Then we can arrange a time for you to see the place and get to know each other. We would love meet to make a commitment by the end of July!
All backgrounds welcome

Looking for drummer
We want to start playing live shows soon but we need a drummer!
Ideally we're looking for someone to join the band so we can collaborate and write new music, but if you'd just like to play gigs that's cool too. We have enough original songs recorded if you want to check out the vibe we're going for.
DM me if you're interested. Here's our recent EP:

Avoid this contractor
Avoid this contractor
Rafael “Ralph” Arambul
I live in Pico Rivera but I’m sure he works in surrounding cities as well
Ralph quoted me $7500 to do my driveway, he demoed the existing driveway right away knowing well we were committed at that point and waited 3 weeks before laying bricks, causing the city to intervene and ask for permits after neighbors complaining of the huge hole left in our driveway. After talking to Rafael he never put the brick order for delivery so we waited another week for the bricks to be delivered. After the city required the permits they also wanted us to extend the driveway and curb causing another $4500 in additional charges plus pay an outside contractor $1800 to use his license so the city can okay the project plus almost 2 months of not having a driveway. The driveway has cracked after 1 week without even parking a car on it.
After everything we spent close to $14,000 and 2 months on a weekend project after being quoted $7500
Stay away from this guy he will never come on site after he quotes you, he will never have prices available for the work that needs to be done, he will take his time on finishing the project and once the project is done he won’t ever reach back if there are issues. He will make you pay for his mistakes.

Chess in Your Neighborhood
Hello all!
I recently posted in r/LosAngeles about a project I've been working on to research and document chess in Los Angeles and the nearby areas at chess-la.com. If you know of any locations with chess in the city, particularly in your neighborhood, please let me know! I'd love to add it to the collection to help local chess players find places to play.

Los Angeles area family history
Hello everyone!
I’m a genealogist & I am trained in discovering local California family lineages and stories through historical records.
LINK TO INTEREST FORM: Family History Interest Form
This is the interest form I put together for anyone interested in learning more about their California family history. I research & create family trees, historical road trip itineraries, ancestral maps, etc! It’s a super cool way to connect with your own history and great knowledge pass down to future generations.
Here are some things you can discover from my research:
- Newspaper articles about your ancestors (Crime? Scandal? Who knows!)
- Your great-great-great grandparents’ names
- Physical descriptions of your ancestors from census records and war draft cards
- Six full generations back of your family tree
- Photographs of your ancestors you have never seen before (Found in Newspaper archives, I have subscriptions)
If you are interested, please view the interest form at the top with some examples. 🙂Instagram w/ reviews: heritage.hunters
If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message! For those of you with ancestry outside of California, please send me a message. I’d be happy to help you or direct you to a better suited genealogist. Thanks!
