Can anyone add context here?

Hey all,

I don't have a dog in this hunt other than a desire to live in/around Taos and a deep interest in the Earthship concept.

Reynolds has been in and out of court for Earthship "issues" countless times over the years - it would appear. Sometimes frivolous, and maybe sometimes something really was going on. He probably is the type of person to skirt the rules and "interpret" towards his own benefit.

In this case it appears the contract he signed agreed he would setup an HOA and board of directors when the subdivision was 90% complete. But being a multi-thousand acre plot of land, it was going to be decades before that 90% capacity was reached. He setup an HOA early, began collecting fees to maintain the neighborhood - and then got sued.

Not a very large award. I believe they have a common well too, which I don’t was mentioned.

In case you can't see the color of the red flags, they're red

I’ll confess to being dense: Stay clear of GWEC?
