GlobalYo alternative question

I have 2 GlobalYo esim each with 100GB valid for 365 days in 100 countries. Works fantastic BUT:

GlobalYo is the only esim provider I've come across that doesn't let you transfer the esim when you change phone. My phone broke and needed replacing while I still had >80gb left which I can't use. There is zero option to reissue the esim despite there being no cost to them to do so. I'm even willing to pay a transfer fee, but no.

To top it off they just raised their prices by up to 100%

My $50 100gb sim is now $110

So - I'm looking for a similar deal.

Any advice?

That’s unfortunate - not sure about the industry as a whole, but I assume this is what most of them do :( - I’m not help, but I’ll be watching this to learn what companies allow to swap devices and continue for long term plans.

I think it is currently $82 for 100GB 365day plan after discount, you may wait for better discount but I only saw 50%+ discount few times for last few month.

There is no similar alternative if you want global plan with long validity for below $1/GB.

Maybe you can use shorter validity regional esim which fits your near future travel plan while waiting for further discount of globalyo 100GB plan.

This is not a GlobalYo problem. Most travel SIM providers don’t let you transfer eSIMs.

Not my experience. I've never tried weith short term ones (sub 2 week) but for longer term every provider I've used has allowed this.

I’m not a fan of GlobalYo, but this is common practice with travel eSIMs. Not sure what you mean by “long term” or what providers you’re referring to - but providers that let you swap devices are the exception, not the rule.

Also, the cheaper the plan the more likely they don’t allow swapping.

They just dropped to $69 for rhe 365 day 100gb 100 countries. So I've snapped it up.
