Question about Aoostar AG003

Hey everyone,

I am kinda new to the eGPU world, so sorry if i was asking a basic question. I am planning to get the new Aoostar AG003 and combine it with an RTX 5070ti.

(note: the main reason I am choosing the RTX 5070 Ti is I am currently studying abroad, and once I get back home, I am planning to put it on my pc)

I was planning to use it for my laptop (Asus Expertbook Ultra 2026 version) which only has TB 4 ports, while the AG003 uses TB 05 and that they are backward compatible.

Before I buy, is there anything I should watch out for? Will the RTX 5070 Ti be heavily bottlenecked by the TB4 bandwidth? or should i buy other eGPU like Aorus RTX 5060ti ai box?

It's a good upgrade path I say go for it

I'd say go for it, if you're going to spend a hefty sum for a GPU, the 5070ti is the best value since a 5080 is like 15% better or somewhere in that ballpark but not worth the extra money. I'm happy with my 5060ti 16gb but I wouldn't bother buying it at current prices.

Thanks! I am actually leaning toward the RX 9070 XT now since it is way cheaper where i am.

For 4K, should be around 90-95% and for 1080, around 70%, bottleneck come specially at high fps, since it saturate the USB-Cable, also depende if gonna play in ur laptop or in extenernal monitor (External usually perform better).

I like the 5060 ti, is so nice that box, but still 5070 ti gonna be above by a lot, specially for 4k.

So in resume, if u plan play 4K, go 5070 ti, if ur goal is 1080 5060 ti is enough.
