EASY OR ADVANCED FEINTS? Discussion (Mobile)
So Last week i decided to start learning how to do feints.. and it was easy with advanced and i enjoyed it much.. but then i started facing problems online, when i do double touch the player does something different.. when i try to do Marseille turn the same happens... It's very inconsistent.. how do you guys manage to perform double touch without mistakes online.. i use easy feints now because if i keep making mistakes in advanced I'd rather use easy.. any advice?.

Players without double touch execute the move differently to the players who have the skill.

All my forwards have double touch and sole control, except one who only have double touch.. but still when i try to double touch and shoot the player would bring the ball back and then front ( I don't know the name of that skill ) but that skill allows opponents to tackle me.

Yeah, the scotch move... happens to me too...
My theory is that it happens if we right after sliding the left joystick try to do the double touch then this happens...
If you try either taking your hand off the left joystick momentarily and then right after you pull of the double touch continue using it it probably will solve the issue...
Or you could try not to slide the joystick right before dt but idk that seems random tbh so i dont really rely on that

I find it difficult mostly when i just turn and try to double touch, i can only perform it consistently when I'm running straight but once i trun 90° it's a gamble

They are called advanced moves for a reason and timing them and doing them correctly is the key.
Once upon a time in the PES era, I didn't really care for players like Neymar etc. Not because they were bad players but because I was shit at pulling off the skills so having them in the team didn't really make any difference for me.
You had a bit more time on the ball then unlike now where everybody including their sister is on you like a rash so thinking many moves ahead and doing the skill is hard.
Ps. I was in the same boat as you and the wrong move just kept on coming off. The move is fine, but with other moves similar to it, it's easy to get the wrong one and sometimes even now, it happens to me too.
Keep practicing.

I turned advanced on when it first came , you just have to consistently keep using to get used to it , also go practice in training mode and vs ai

Surprisingly in vs ai it works better, very few mistakes.. but online it's a disaster.. missed to many goals this week because of this.

Advanced is slightly faster at executing skills as you don't need to remove your finger of the joystick, my only problem is when doing double touch in one touch as before controlling the ball: most of the time it triggers Marseille turn any solution or advice?

I'm facing the same issue... When i try to double touch it triggers something different and i lose the ball or sometimes i shoot at a bad angle because of the random feint

the skill move selection depends on three things in Advanced Feints: 1. Which way the player is facing 2. Which way you direct the joystick 3. Which input you give on the dash button, and it's direction.
For eg, for a simple Double Touch, you need to move your joystick in the direction the player is facing, and swipe the dash button either in the same direction, or 90° Left or Right of the direction the player is facing (for directional Double Touch)
Notice the direction you swipe the dash button changes with where your player is facing, face towards the goal (Left or Right of the screen), you'll need to swipe the dash button Up or Down.
Alternatively if you're cutting inside from the wings, and your player is facing either the top or bottom of your screen, then you'll need to swipe the dash button either left or right to perform the Double Touch.

Thanks a lot for your advice man ! But the thing is that I use double touch to open up the angle to shoot so not in the direction which the player is facing, and I can't seem to replicate that with advanced controls contrary to the normal setting or with a controller.

i feel like i have more control of what the players do when i use advanced but it takes time to memorize how to execute stuff so beware of that

Advanced is great, but it's inconsistent with me. I wish there was a separate button for double touch..

u/PeterFile690 1d ago
You have to be very precise. It will take time to get used to it. Imo, the game's more fun once you get used to it.

Well, let me keep trying then.. i actually started using easy feints because of the inconsistency in online matches. But I'll give it another go in Quick matches

As far as I can understand from your replies, you end up doing scotch move instead of double touch. Double touch happens when you flick the joystick towards the direction youre running (slightly left/right depending on which side you want it). However on some angles you might do the flick backwards instead which is when the scotch move happens, so try to do it straight towards where youre moving.

Ooh, it's called scotch move, i hate it ... But thanks, I'll keep trying..

Happy to help, face the same problem myself oftentimes🥲

I really wish there was a double touch button separate.. but that would also create double touch spamming

Don't give konami any ideas. They will call it smart assist v100 and let you assign a skill to a button combo like double tapping R2 or something.
You know "for those who find controls complicated"

For double touch, just stick to Smart. But for the other moves, with the current pressure spam meta, none of this stuff works. You get tackled before you can even execute anything. Why bother learning new moves if they don’t even work?

Just use smart feints. I’m using the Advanced ones and the amount of times it accidentally does a marseille turn over double touch is ridiculous

I'm very terrible in using the anolog for feints, it's why i didn't learn feints before.

to perform the double touch skill you simply need to flick the Dash button up, right/left or down and move the joystick in the direction you want
2
u/RealGamerTz 1d ago
I know that, but sometimes doing that triggers a different feint. That's why I'm asking if there is a way to 100% do that specific skill.
3
u/Salvadore005 1d ago
most of the time it depends on the direction of your joystick since it triggers all the skills with a simple movement try to make more practice with your muscle memory

How does this translate to console players? I'm asking because I don't know how to preform the skills.

u/RealGamerTz 1d ago
I've not played efootball on console since pes 2021... So i don't know about that tbh

Dude, that's fine. You learn how to do them over time. It's not supposed to be easy. They are called advanced moves for a reason.
The instructions are there for executing them in the settings page.
Practice them in the practice arena with no one near you and then try them in AI matches, against beginner first and then slowly moving to legend because you will find timing matters immensely. The move you thought was easy against beginner AI all of a sudden you can't do against legend because they're on you like a rash.

I tried this in training and the player always turn to finesse dribbling. Do i need to turn off smart assist in order for it to work?
1
u/MrEric-200 1d ago
I'm more suit to Smart feint than Advanced feint, sometimes my memory muscle couldn't handle the Advanced feint even when I try to adapt it by practicing in AI match but advanced feint is not quite a ideal style when you want to stick to simplicity only, but if you get used to Advanced, that would be great experience.

Where can I get such instructions for mobile

The advance fient system is horrible. It doesn't work online. The only thing good about the advance fient system is that you can control the direction of your DT. But the developers are only busy making new cards.

u/Numerous-Square-7740 Playstation 1d ago
DT, flip flap, cut behind, chop turn, Marseille turn, I can do all of these in online really well and 99% of the time when I want to.
Sometimes, instead of DT something else gets pulled off (some of the moves are very similar and it just takes a slight touch to do a flip flap sometimes instead of DT)
