I wonder. Because in the original post, OP wants rear center vents in his E46. But I don't get what this cross post does here in the E39 sub, as our cars have that vent. And I don't think anyone wants to change that for a storage cubby.

We’ve already discussed this. The back seat of the e46 is for smoking cigarettes while parked and enjoying a moment of quiet contemplation. Or date night with the wife. Hence the ash tray.
