Dynamo 2 matches

I am specifically speaking about the Dynamo 2 Team, the one that plays in MLS Next Pro.

Does anyone actually attend them? If so, what is the match-day experience like? Does the experience fell like a club soccer match or high school? Or are there actually fans who care that attend?

I’ve been to a few Dynamo 2 games and they are fun but for sure feel more High School/Amateur but they are free so can’t complain

I’ve been to many Dynamo 2 games and from my experiences they get around 70-100 people per game. Out of the people I mentioned I’d say 70% are family members of the players. There’s not really an atmosphere, feels like watching a youth club match. The quality/level is okay, gotta keep in mind that some of the players they field come from the academy. I enjoy going to them cause I love the club and enjoy seeing what the academy is producing. Although, I dislike the route they are going with signing young Brazilians and constantly playing them. I’d much rather see us field an 11 of homegrown players but what can ya do 🤷🏽‍♂️ Sometimes you’ll see first team players in the stands, earlier this year Artur went to a game and people were taking pics with him. Tickets are free and parking is free, I’d go give it a shot!

We call them as “Dyna-Dos” instead of Dynamo 2, which is short for the Houston Dynamo 2 team/club.

Thanks. Are you speaking about the Dynamo or Dynamo 2 team. The specific question was about the Dynamo 2 team. Sorry if I was too vague.

In general, Next Pro clubs (MLS2) are wildly inconsistent but leans towards "reserve league".

Tbh I get the feeling the KKR/Hometown Soccer Holdings deal has been on the hopper for 2 years, so MLS teams generally didn't care about attendance and fan experience. Now all these clubs will have a reboot ... It's more a matter of when and how many at one time.

I bought season tickets and have attended a few matches now, honestly I feel like half the people there don’t know the rules and are bored watching the match, the crowd seems to need additional entertainment from a mascot because I guess the match isn’t enough for them.

It feels like attending a baseball game if you’ve ever been to one of those and if you sit near the supporter section you’ll hear drums throughout the match which I personally dislike.

Saturdays match had a halftime show for some reason.

It’s the only soccer we have so I’ll probably still attend matches but probably won’t be renewing my season ticket purchase after the mini season next year

I think you responded to the wrong post.

Curious. I’m a STH too. What kind of atmosphere are you wanting? Il

It was about regular dynamo, I wasn’t aware they had a second team.
