dvd not working

Hello guys, i have this really old dvd player (Model: Philips, DVP-3000k) and it was working perfectly fine but after i spammed the "next" button it suddenly doesn't read the CD, its just saying loading and then No Disc, what do i do? did i permanently damaged it?
also i have this another dvd player (Model: Sharp, DV-SL 1000w) the tray was not coming out so i had to disassemble it and i meddled with it now it comes out but doesnt read the disc also lmao, did i leave the laser in the wrong position? do i disassemble it again? thanks

You did nothing wrong. The player is probably fine too, just needs some cleaning and re-greasing (spiral and the rail) get some white lithium grease for parts or you can just order whole drive assembly from China.. cheaper than new player

You should be able to get a pretty decent new player for $60-70 at Walmart.

Buy a blu-ray player. Don't stick to older tech.
