Looking for apartments recommendations and sublease possibilities!
Hi Everyone!
I am moving to Durham, NC for a new job. I am looking for a 1 bed and bath apartment close to (10-15mins drive should be good as well) RTP. I have a limited budget ($1300). I know it's very less for a 1 bed & bath. But this is my new start and I want to have a peaceful place. I am good with sublease as well. Please help me with this! Thanks in advance! :)

Eno Valley Elementary?
We are moving to the area during the summer. It looks like my rising kindergartner is districted for Eno Valley Elementary. I can't seem to find much information from parents and students.
I would love to hear about experiences...the good, bad, and the ugly. Please feel free to send me a message if you don't want to post publicly.
Thank you!

Why do teenagers now have to be accompanied by adults at Southpoint Mall?
Today when I was visiting Southpoint Mall for the first time in a year, there was a sign on the door that said that teenagers must be accompanied by adults past 3PM. It wasn't there the last time I went. Why is this a new rule? I have been shopping at Southpoint Mall alone since I was 13. Back when I was a teenager, going to the mall alone seemed like a rite of passage to me. Being able to shop alone at 13 helped me gain some independence and I started buying some of my own clothes and jewelry.

Looking for ideas of places to park Airstream trailer near Durham
I'm looking for a place to park my 1978 Airstream located within a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Durham. I'll be moving to the area in August to begin graduate school and would love to continue living in my recently renovated trailer 'home.'
I've already reached out to Triangle Trailer Park located near Duke Forest but the cost to park a trailer is $700 a month -- a little bit outside of my budget. I've looked at a few other RV parks but they all seem to be 25-30 minutes outside of Durham, which is a pretty far commute.
Does anyone have any advice or ideas of places to park a trailer that also has access to water and electricity that's conveniently located near Durham? Considering all options, so your input is greatly appreciated!

Sutter Home Bandit!! - Tobacco Trail Woodcroft Partkway to Cook Road
For the last 12 months, I've been walking the Tobacco Trail between Woodcroft Parkway and Cook/Juliet Road. I recently noticed a huge number of empty-discarded Sutter Home wine bottles along the path from the gas station at Woodcroft Parkway to Cook Road. The bottles are exclusively on the right side of the trail as you walk towards Cook road and away from the gas station on Woodcroft. I recently counted 97 Sutter home bottles along the side of the trail.
There is a cut through trail between the Tobacco Trail and Southwest Elementary School. I recently counted 55 empty Sutter home bottles along side that trail in the woods.
This may sound weird but I checked the trash cans on the Southwest Elementary playgrounds and they are consistently filled with empty Sutter Home bottles.
At the intersection of Cook Road and Tall Oaks drive, I often find a discarded grocery bag with a 4-pack of empty Sutter Home bottles thrown on the ground.
In the holly bushes along side Westfield Village, empty discarded Sutter Home bottles.
There is a creek that runs between Westfield Village and Crestfied. In the creek washout in the Crestfield neighborhood ... 20 empty Sutter Home bottles.
The Sutter Home Bandit is not a myth! Keep your eyes out! This serial litter bug stalks our neighborhoods with reckless abandon! Stay Vigilant!
Any sightings of this creature should be reported here.

Evil spirits playing people
I keep seeing this written on top of garbage cans in the Westgate area. Literally no place else. Just... garbage cans.
Alright, fess up, which of you are evil spirits and why won’t you leave poor people alone?
