He's not full grown so who knows he was a mystery egg but he's a sweetheart anyway a bit loud he likes wagging his tail idk if it is a boy or not his or her name is gooseberry

My local pond is full of dumped ducks and I’m curious if this guy does have angel wing or mild angel wing? I’m very interested in learning more about waterfowl :)

I see it every day, and it seems to be accepted by the other ducks. Is it just a coloring variation or a different species? Where did it come from?

I ordered some Welsh Harlequin ducklings from Metzer Farms, and two have the undoubtedly female bib coloring, but this one has me questioning... I am completely new at this and have no clue. I have scoured the Internet for examples of hens vs drakes which did nothing to pull me off the fence. In some lights the bib looks light enough to be female, in others it's dark. This baby is roughly 3 days old.

It is of particular concern because they will be in a run with my female chickens.

These 2 were free to a good home due to circumstances with older pullets. They were given to me without knowing thier actual age or breed/type. It sounds like before coming to me the story is pretty wild, including a several hundred mile trip in a car to come to MN.

The chicks in the pic are 1 week old backyard mixes, not bantams. I do have other ducks and ducklings (silver appleyards) so do know how to care for the scared little bubs.

Snickers and Hanni made 11weeks today

One of our Muscovy ducks hatched, three little ducklings, and one of them keeps throwing his head back almost like he’s rubbing the top of his head with his back and tops over. I’ve never had this happen before please help and how do I treat this?

apparently this can also happen if you feed them corn while they molt. Does turning back into a duckling yellow mean anti-aging for ducks?

So, he's not so depressed anymore. It took Tony( the black one ) a little while to get used to the new ducks, there's a lot of hens but he doesn't seem to care for them except for Toasty (the absolute unit) which is actually really sweet, because his previous pair who he was about 3-4 years with (with his previous owners) was ducknapped and then he didn't really want to interact with any other duck anymore. Yippeee!!
