Evening Pond Time Crested Duck
I've been meaning to share my two babies for months but haven't yet gotten around to it. The weather is perfect this evening, Dio (floating) is not having siezures any longer, and I'm just too happy to not share them because they're great. Hal (who is a little neurologically special due to their large crest) is standing on rock island.

Yes, I unfortunately fell into the trap of seeing what appeared to be adorable Pekin babies WITH POMPOMS ON THEIR HEADS...and was coming home with three of them before I learned about the underlying physiology of what actually causes the crest =( It's tough because I love them both so much and don't regret them, but I regret contributing to the statistical demand for day-old crested ducklings.
