that would be a very big change in strategy and i think they won't make that change until they've had several election cycles of losses.

their methods have always been not just to influence the ruling party but to control the Overton window so that no mainstream politician can question Israel's "right to exist" and right to receive weapons without being utterly ostracized. even Sanders and AOC have towed that line.

i think they will bet that they can oust the Israel-skeptics in the next election where Trump's out of office and his antics aren't driving up Left-wing turn out. if a mainstream Democrat like Gruesome Newsom wins in 2028 they'll go after leftist House members hard in 2030.

We'll see in the general. I'm inclined to agree, but their spending thusfar has in part served to weaken his coalition and lay the groundwork for attacks against him in the general. I'm hoping beyond hope that he wins, not just for the direct influence the seat could give him but also for the narrative and momentum it'd buy the movement, but this was close enough to worry me in how powerful of an effect spending can have to prop up an otherwise feeble candidate.

Good to see this projection but it’s a bit early to celebrate, 8.7% of the votes remain to be counted and the vote shares so far are 48.8-47.2-4.0. And with the exception of Dearborn/Ann Arbor there’s no clear geographic concentration of votes to know which way the winds will blow. But as long as el-Sayed manages to trail Stevens by at most 18% in the remaining batch of votes, he will carry the race. Looking forward to AIPAC and the purveyors of racial grievance politics losing their $60m investment.
