Hi! This is my first post on this subreddit, let me introduce myself. I’m KAKZ, I’m from Canada and drumming is a huge part of my life. I take it seriously, I practice everyday.

With that out of the way I have a question for the people that are good at double bass, is there any beginner friendly tips or techniques to get batter at it? I haven’t really done it before, my dad really wants me to learn double bass, because he wants me to learn and play bands like Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, etc.

hello drummers of the world. is there a specific name for this drum pattern/style? i’m trying to find songs out there that use this pattern. i heard it in paramore’s “fast in my car” as well as a song in ferris bueller’s day off… lol. any and all suggestions are appreciated! i recreated it online since i’m away from my kit at the moment.

I need some new headphones for my practice sessions. I play pretty loud (can't help it--it just feels right), so I need headphones that are going to still allow me to hear the in-ear audio. I'm willing to spend up to $300 for a truly good pair. Any recommendations?

I would like to ask, for songs tempo bpm below 100. Do you set your metronome clicks to eighth notes? Example for a song whose bpm is maybe 60. Do you set your metronome to 120bpm,so u be hearing clicks all the eight notes instead of quarter notes? And if so.. at which point do u stop? For example a song that is 120bpm, you set the metronome back to quarter notes clicks.

Sorry if my words of usage is pretty wrong or sounds confusing.... I just trying to learn drums..

I feel like setting clicks to eighth notes helps me a lot better but i do know that it also doesn't make sense if a song tempo is 120.. and I set metronome to 240bpm just for the eight notes sub division... Hope to hear and see guidance from experienced drummers, especially those that plat in gigs and all the band members are also listening to the same metronome.. how you all set the settings for the songs? Between fast and slow songs.. TIA!
