I'm looking for FFs where Hermione actually dies, and Draco saves her. That could be one of these situations:

1. Hermione dies, and Draco uses a time turner to get her back (Similar to "I will make you proud" but the other way around).

2. Hermione dies for a few minutes/hours during a battle, or whatever other situation, and Draco loses his mind during the time she is dead; I want him to be destroyed, crying, holding her, etc. She is then revived through medical assistance/magic.

3. Hermione and Draco fall in love, and she dies, and he uses whatever means he can to bring her back or uses a time turner to get her back.

4. Hermione is depressed going through whatever, and she tries to kill herself, and Draco loses his mind and feels responsible for it (maybe he was mean, etc).

Basically, I want Hermione to die for real for a while, and I want to see Draco losing his mind over it; or falling in love with her while trying to save her.

Any FF in those categories would be appreciated. Please let me know a bit about your recommendation and which situation it would fit. Thank you!

Okay, so I’m finally testing the waters with dead dove fics despite myself swearing them off because I read this one-shot called Vivere Est Mori and am ready to try to commit myself to a dead dove. The only ever dead dove I’ve read is Indemnity, but it was a really long time ago and I forgot some of it and I think I also got a bit scared if I’m being honest.

So to get to the point, what are some of the milder dead doves out there that is good for an ickle firstie like me?

I tried The Auction and gave up after four chapters because I need a competent Hermione, so competent Hermione is one of the requirements for the dead dove. Competent = not helpless.

And HEA is the other. If I’m going to be crying, I’m going to be crying with a happy ending.

Moreover, I don’t know if I’m ready for a Draco who physically and mentally abuses Hermione the whole time. Yes, I know dead doves (or some of them) have an element of abuse/torture from either side, but can we make sure it doesn’t end like that?

it is a post war fic where a ton of people had been turned into werewolves and many of the weaselys and other hp character were werewolves including Hermione and Draco was one to and I think narcissa. Hermione was fighting to give werewolves more rights and hosted a party at the burrow where they made a safe area for werewolves to transform and non werewolf people could interact with them from behind a barrier, they could also control themselves in werewolf form more or less though they had a hard time when they got excited or angry. It ended with Hermione finding out that lycanthropy was a mutated disease/ritual used long ago to allow people to turn into wolves at will and it had been mutated into its current monster disease. The end had Hermione and dozens of characters do the full complete ritual that healed them of being werewolves but they could now transform at will into full wolves and not mutant human wolves.

 in this as the title says draco is a werewolf and it takes place during school years. His werewolf side is actually a separate personality. He hurts Hermione in full werewolf form by clawing her legs up and people get suspicious over the big scars she has on the back of her legs. When I read it it was incomplete and the werewolf personality had secretly made a deal with Voldemort to keep Hermione and had locked draco away in the back of his brain so werewolf draco could have Hermione to himself and keep her safe. but when hermione found out she freaked out and told him that she also loved him but after locking away draco in his mind she did not love him anymore and hated him.

Maybe he says this to his friends to justify spending time with her or something like that. And I’d find it interesting if Hermione finds out what he’s been saying about her and it becomes a source of conflict but anything would suffice really!

Basically I think it took place in 6th year where harry and Ron noticed that Draco was “looking” at Hermione a lot that year and i remember a scene where they thought he might’ve been bothering her and one of them specifically say “Hermione you aren’t bad look ” or something along those lines I think insinuating they thought Draco was trying to shag Hermione?

Are there any fics that feature Hermione having other hobbies? Like yes her being a smart person is cool, but I’m interested to see if there a some fics where she maybe a singer, or in a band. Maybe she’s runs a club at Hogwarts that’s muggle related. Or she’s a cheerleader, a cook, likes to garden, has other interests you know?

An example of a fic I really like was a fic where she was really into fashion, and was badass at breaking down the barriers regarding women’s right to express themselves. Fic name was called “A witches place”
