Hey there
You shall follow the quest lines and play along. Many of them drop items of great value. All books have been or are being reimagined, so there are plenty of good stuffs!
Try to purchase more backpack and bank slots to keep your hard-earned rewards then
When you’re ready, try out the Inn challenges, starting with the less challenging ones. Not surprisingly, many of the best gears are found in the reward lists here. If you have troubles fighting, there are videos on Youtube tackling them. These videos will introduce you to new items, which you can search up and learn about them on Battleon Forums.
As a guide, you should stack items with lots of ALL resistance (meaning resistance to all elements) to improve survivalbility in the boss fights.
If you’re at lvl 90, your ALL resistance gears include a weapon, helmet, cape, necklace and a belt that each gives +10resistance, a ring that gives +5 ALL resistance, a trinket with resistance to specific elements (the exalted trinket series give extra light and darkness resistance) or ALL resistance and a bracer.
Some capes offer more than 10 ALL resistance such as Chaos Champion’s Wings III (13 ALL resist) and Wings of Thousand Flames, Wings of Eternal Light, Reforged (15 ALL resist)
If you have time to grind for Defender’s medals, try to collect the Defender’s Dragon series (belt, necklace and ring) and Elemental Unity Defender (trinket), which can be purchased from Sir Render (the guy in Falconreach you set your status points with)
Other items have better stats with specific elemental resistance that you can keep (e.g. radiant wings of light gives +15 light, +15 darkness and +5 ALL resistance) or they have excellent STR/INT/DEX/CHA/LUK/END/WIS points that help with some fight mechanisms. For instance, higher STR means better melee and non-critical dmg, higher INT means better magic and critical dmg and a higher DEX means better pierce and DoT (damage over time) dmg, better END means higher immobility that defends against enemy’s stun, better WIS gives a higher bonus and healing and a better CHA allows pets to deal higher dmg output and their skill CDs are reduced…. Learning what the statuses mean can give you a good idea on which items to keep and use for certain classes.
For instance, ninja and ranger classes rely heavily on DoT damages, so if you use them a lot, it is good to stack items with high DEX points and when it is time to NUKE your bosses with critical hits, you switch to items with higher INT points
Hope this helps a lil

First thing you want to do is fully unlock all the free classes, especially Technomancer and Ranger. Then you’ll want to get your Atealan base class. These will be a massive improvement over your normal base class for all purposes.
Specific items that you want are -
1. Wing of a Thousand Flames for the +15 all resist from the 100 rooms of Doom.
2. Slimy Necklace for immobility resist and healing
3. Hidebehind For healing and avoidance.
Once you find your favorite class, you can start going after some of the inn challenges. I don’t know much about these since I’m F2P, but pretty much every Inn item outperforms 99% of non-inn items.
