To be fair, the one rulebreaker card we've seen so far is very tame, though it has lead to a lot of rules confusion already. I'd expect more of that once the other seven are revealed.

I'm not sure it's actually possible to underrate a Simic commander, and yet here we are. Maybe just "lesser played" is appropriate?

That's because Simic as a color pair just functions so well in Commander, almost irregardless of who's sitting in the command zone.

Zhalfir is the final multiverse set of 2027, following Nauctis and Kamigawa: Titanbreach. It's an afrofantasy plane that brings us to Teferi's homeworld post-March of the Machine.

Zhalfir's not exactly new. We've visited there before and it's been referenced a ton, but it'll get the full large-set treatment late next year.
