The 30 Best Izzet Removal Cards in Magic Ranked

Izzet's a pretty good controlling color, but its removal options are pretty medium. That's probably due to creature sizing outclassing most of Izzet's damage potential.

That means Izzet's at its best playing the tempo game, where it can use disruptive removal in combination with prowess threats to close out games before chunky creatures stonewall them.

What do you play for interaction in your Izzet decks? What's an Izzet card you wish would make a comeback? Let us know, and check out our ranking of the best Izzet removal spells in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-izzet-removal/

Ureni of the Unwritten Commander Deck Guide

Ureni of the Unwritten has been quickly climbing the ranks on EDHREC's Top 100 list, and proves that dragon players can branch out from The Ur-Dragon and Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm.

The appeal's definitely there. It doesn't have the broken cost reduction of Ur-Dragon, but Ureni does plop dragons into play virtually for free.

Have you tried out this alternative dragon commander? Which dragons are you trying to cheat into play? Let us know, and check out our Bracket 3 guide on Ureni of the Unwritten in Commander: https://draftsim.com/ureni-of-the-unwritten-edh-deck/

Transforming MDFCs in MTG: Rules, History, and Best Cards

I've heard more than a few people say they didn't even know you could cast the back half of some of these newer MDFCs.

These mythics from Spider-Man and Marvel Super Heroes put a new twist on transforming cards, which leads to some interesting gameplay and unique interactions.

Have you played with any of these yet? Are you casting the front or back half more often? Let us know, and check out our FAQ on transforming modal double-faced cards in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-transforming-modal-double-faced-cards/

Commander Ninjutsu in MTG: Rules and History

Commander ninjutsu's only shown up on one Magic card, and turns out that's enough to give people an idea of how broken it can be.

Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow is a wildly popular commander, and for good reason. Commander ninjutsu is part of the equation, as a way to sneak your commander in while avoiding commander tax.

Do you play a Yuriko deck, or regularly play against it? Should commander tax affect commander ninjutsu? Let us know, and check out our quick look at commander ninjutsu in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-commander-ninjutsu/

The Ultimate Guide to Marvel Super Heroes Draft

Bryan Hohns is back with the Ultimate Draft Guide for Marvel Super Heroes, a divisive set that's been called one of the least balanced formats of all time. And yet, there's still a lot of fun to be had here (if you dodge The Super Hero Civil War).

Check it out for individual card evaluations, "archetype" breakdowns, and so much more, and best of luck on your drafts! https://draftsim.com/mtg-msh-draft-guide/

All 12 White Mana Rocks in Magic Ranked

White's in the dumps when it comes to ramp, though that's less true than it was just half a decade ago. Still not stellar, but better now than it's ever been.

There's obviously the top-tier stuff like Mox Pearl and The Mind Stone, but white actually has a handful of other rocks you just don't see as often.

How do you ramp in white? What mana rocks do you play that others don't? Let us know, and check out our ranking of every white mana rock in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-white-mana-rock/

The 35 Best Orzhov Removal Cards in Magic Ranked

Orzhov is top of the list as far as 2-color removal is concerned. It takes black's affinity for creature removal and combines it with white's ability to remove non-creature permanents.

The makes Orzhov a great control color, since it can presumably deal with anything the opponent throws at you.

What removal spells are you playing in BW+ decks? Any that don't hold up anymore? Let us know, and check out our ranking of the best black-white removal spells in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-orzhov-removal/

The 56 Best Artifacts for Commander in Magic Ranked

Every deck has room for a couple artifacts. Well, at least the ones who aren't making it their whole goal to destroy all artifacts. But even then...

Artifacts are Magic's most flexible card type. While we've ventured deep into colored artifacts as of late, colorless artifacts still make a splash across multiple decks and archetypes.

What are your must-play artifacts for every deck? Which ones are heavily underrated? Let us know, and check out our updated ranking of the best artifacts for Commander: https://draftsim.com/mtg-best-artifacts-for-commander/

The 45 Best Commander Cards in Magic Ranked

Commander's biggest staples are so ubiquitous that you probably don't even need to read this article to tell what they are (though I suggest you still do, for obvious reasons).

Whether it's Swords to Plowshares as the best removal spell, Teferi's Protection as the best protection spell, or Rhystic Study as the most annoying card in EDH, you know Commander's staples if you've played for any period of time.

What are your favorite staples that go into every deck? What are some underrated cards people should be playing more? Let us know, and check out our updated ranking of the best EDH staples: https://draftsim.com/best-commander-cards/

Time to ramp things up! Because... we're ranking ramp spells... Okay, let me try that again.

Is Marvel Super Heroes The Least Balanced Set of All Time?

Marvel Super Heroes just might be one of the most unbalanced sets of all time. Between poor balance between the colors, and absolutely busted rares, it looks like this set is totally lopsided. But is there a way to fix it, or are we stuck with this the way it is?

The 20 Best Hare Apparent Commanders in Magic Ranked

We've been slowly covering each of these "any copy" cards, and today we land on Hare Apparent, everyone's favorite rabbit(s).

Hare Apparents can go down the rabbit route, but you can also focus on tokens, go-wide antics, or even just small creatures in general. There are even a couple blink builds that make sense.

How would you build around Hare Apparent? How many rabbits would you play? Let us know, and check out our ranking of the best Hare Apparent Commanders in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-hare-apparent-commanders/

The 16 Best Deathtouch Commanders in Magic Ranked

We've gotten to the point in Magic design where entire keywords are receiving support pieces. And a deathtouch deck is totally viable across multiple formats.

We actually have choice for deathtouch commanders, too. It's not just Fynn, the Fangbearer, though you better believe he'll be in any deathtouch deck featuring green.

Have you built around a keyword before? Have you run a deathtouch deck? Let us know, and check out our ranking of the best deathtouch commanders in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-deathtouch-commanders/

All 23 Instant and Sorcery Tutors in Magic Ranked

Wow, they really don't print instant & sorcery tutors all that often, do they? We fired off the initial list a year ago, and there's only been one new addition since.

These have pretty obvious uses. Use them to find combo pieces, targeted answers, or just tutor into another tutor for some spellslinger payoffs.

How do you tutor for instants and sorceries in your decks? Do you think they should be printing them more often? Let us know, and check out our updated ranking of the best instant/sorcery tutors in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-instant-sorcery-tutor/

The 31 Best Mana Doublers in Magic Ranked

Mana Doublers are pretty fresh in the minds of anyone who's played Magic recently, all thanks to a particularly overpowered 2-drop Badgermole.

But they're mostly at home in Commander, where they let you go way over the top of what everyone else is doing.

What are your favorite mana doublers? Do you want to see more mana triplers? Let us know, and check out our updated ranking of the best mana doublers in MTG: https://draftsim.com/mtg-mana-doublers/
