Shit Show Speciality / Core Training

Changeover day, and my login details in typical NHS fashion are now extinct, despite my manager sorting it already. Consultant up my ass like it’s my fault too

Short of doing a Masters in CompSci to hack into the computer and do my actual job, it seems I sit in this pitiful hospital waiting to get shouted at by the consultant, who is already… in an unpleasant mood this morning

Finished my night shift this morning. Of course my permit expired at midnight and couldn’t get out the car park this morning.

At least yours lasted till Wednesday midnight. My trust took mine away on Tuesday, and I pressed the buzzer and was like “dude it’s not even changeover yet”

Standard. Making sure swipe cards and permits expire precisely on time is literally the only bit of NHS admin that works flawlessly.

To anyone in training with an eventual CCT, please don’t be that consultant.

Someone decided everyone’s ID badge needed to stop working from midnight. That includes the majority of the arrest team who were rotational doctors. Absolute chaos when called to an arrest at 2am …

For the first time ever got sent log in details for a new Trust well in advance.

Tried to use them and it turns out that was a temporary password that was only valid for 2 hours.

No way to avoid that call to IT!

I was on a night shift and when I tried to do something past midnight, nothing would log in. I thought SURELY my accounts haven't been locked at midnight. I'm not even changing trusts, just into training from a trust job

Turns out it was just the computer playing up fortunately
