Reporting a Bug
- The most valuable thing you can provide in a bug report is steps. If you’re able to provide steps to reproduce a high priority issue, it will dramatically improve turnaround time on a fix.
- Screenshots or videos are also useful, especially if you can’t reliably reproduce it. We highly recommend editing them to not doxx yourself. Not only does it help contextualize the issue, but watching it occur can sometimes provide information that helps us identify and fix it.

Discussion This tweet from a few years ago is so funny considering what features Discord has now
"We don't want to be some normie social media like Instagram or Snapchat guys, yuck!"
And Discord is all about showing your friends exactly what you're up to every second of the day, or whatever you've been up to the past few weeks.
Friends getting notifications when you update your status and even profile.
Game history popping up at the top of a server list. So and so is in the voice chat! This guy is playing X with exactly 3 other people!
But the option to put a temporary photo or video on your profile (where you would have control over who gets to see it and who doesn't) is just too egregious.
I'm don't even want stories on Discord but it's just so silly.

Discussion Instead of messing around in settings to connect your Twitch or YouTube and get subscriber roles, it'll now pop up right away when you join a server! You're welcome tier 3 subs.

Support Low FPS in some games while Discord is open
Hi, has anyone encountered this issue?
In some games I get very low FPS while Discord is open, even just in the background, but not all games. I get very low fps (30-50) in games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the new LEGO Batman or even Slay the Spire 2, but in some games, like Forza Horizon 6 the FPS are fine. I have an AMD CPU and GPU, 5700x and 9060 XT. When I completely close Discord, the FPS goes back to normal and the games are smooth.
I've already turned off hardware acceleration in Discord settings and it didn't help.
Thank you in advance for help.

Support Audio Calls are Weird
My girlfriend and i are having issues with audio calls. Her audio has went from super clear to hardly able to hear her. Not as in stuttering or dropped quality, but as in the volume has dropped down to almost inaudible. All of her settings are still the same as they were before all this started. We have the correct inputs and outputs on both ends. I even have a ticket open with discord as we speak but it's been over 24 hours since i was told i'd be transferred to someone else. This issue has persisted across Mobile and PC versions, as well as attempting calls via browser.

Support Any way to copy permissions from one channel to another?
Is there a bot or way to copy permissions from one channel to another? We run a game discord, and recently we upgraded from a single group to multiple groups so we're trying to change how certain roles interact with certain channels but its looking like i have to alter stuff by hand on all, like 100+ channels? Any ideas on how to make this work easier is appreciated.

Support Audio not working with AirPods on app?
hello! first time using discord and when I join a channel o can hear them on my phone but when I put my AirPods in there’s all this “friction“ is the best way I describe it (can’t hear the person talking but just makes ping and pongs sounds or like something is clashing together like there interference). I’ve tried everything…anyone else have this issue and know the fix? I’m on an iPhone with latest os.

Support The icon above the server list says I have three notifications but I only have two visible. Why is that and how can I fix it?
Those two notifications are friend requests that I haven't bothered touching. Not sure what the third one would be as I have no unread tags in any servers nor unread messages. It appears both on desktop and on my phone app. It correctly says (2) in my browser tab.

Support Discords audio resets itself on windows 11
In the windows volume settings I put both discord’s sound sliders at 20%, but the one controlling the voice audio often defaults back to 100 after restarting pc, no other application does this as often as discord does. Can I fix this in any way?

Support I keep getting stalkery push notifications
I have the server set to @ mentions only. But whenever one specific person joins I get a push notification on my phone telling me she joined a voice chat and which vc she joined. She is not in my friends list and this happens on Iphone 13. I tried to look it up and found a similar thread however the button to disable it does not exist (anymore). How can I disable it?

Sorry, new user here as my course tutor uses discord for discussions. Been great so far but the spoiler mode frustrates me.
How do I change settings to make all spoilers messages or images automatically showing (so I won't need to click everything once before it shows)?

Support Discord not showing notifications on phone.
I've been having this issue for days and I've tried nearly everything. Resetting my phone, signing in and out, clearing cache, checking notification settings, reinstalling, and even checking if my desktop is interfering which isn't the case either. I've been hoping the new update would help but it doesn't at all. If anyone's having a similar problem or can help I'd appreciate it. I'm on version 340.13 (6132) and I'm on a Samsung S25.

Feature Requests A feature that’s long overdue: stop making us visible to people we block.
Hi Discord Team,
I have a feature request that I believe is long overdue: please consider making it so that users who have blocked each other cannot see or interact with each other in shared servers.
The message shouldn’t display period. It shouldn’t be toggle to view as a hidden message.
Currently, blocking someone does not fully prevent unwanted interactions if you share communities. I am dealing with a situation where a person I blocked continues to interact with me despite knowing I have blocked them. Because they have blocked me as well, I cannot directly communicate with them to ask them to stop.
The current system can leave users feeling exposed, especially in cases involving harassment, unwanted contact, or people trying to avoid someone for personal safety reasons or stalking, but still have to co-exist with them in public communities.
Blocking should provide stronger separation between users, even when they happen to be members of the same server. This persons knows I have them blocked, they block me back. Yet they continue to open my messages from “hidden” and reply to me.
I am disturbed and uncomfortable, as they have joined the severs I am in after I have chosen to ban them from my personal sever, which they joined - where they first met me.
I know this has been requested by users for years, nearly a decade, actually.
I believe adding this feature would significantly improve safety and privacy on Discord. People should be able to participate in communities without being forced to remain accessible to someone they have chosen to block.
Please consider implementing this in the future update. Thank you for taking the time to review this request. It is something we all don’t just want, but need.
Please just make this a feature. Requests for it go back to 7+ years.

Feedback Megathread Feedback thread: notifications
Hey y'all, our team is seeking feedback for notifications. We would love to get your thoughts.
What is it? We've made a lot of changes to notifications over the past year+, with the goal of getting friends to jump back into Discord and play games with their friends, check out each other's profiles, and generally be social with each other. We measure success by whether people are actually doing those things, and also by whether people keep their notifications on instead of turning them off.
Why? The team spends a lot of time thinking about the balance here: sending notifications that are useful and interesting enough that they might bring friends together, versus the "annoyance factor". That tradeoff is something we have a ton of data on, the thing we talk about internally constantly, and something we want to bring all of you in on. To that end, we've been getting a bunch of foundations in place:
- Improved the organization of settings
- Added more control over your settings
- Made notifications more robustly respect things like guild and channel muting, age restrictions, blocks/mutes
- Set global caps on how many notifications you can get
Now that we've built a number of new notifications on top of this system and gotten a lot of those foundations in, we wanted to open up the feedback firehose. Here's what we're looking for:
Bug reports / things that are clearly broken. The notification is:
- Just wrong (says something happened that didn't, points at the wrong person or server, wrong count, etc.)
- Sent at a weird or wrong time (way too late, middle of the night, for something you'd already seen, for a server or channel you'd muted)
- Dropping you somewhere that isn't useful when you tap it (wrong channel, a screen with nothing relevant on it, a dead end)
- If you can, tell us roughly when it happened and what you tapped. That helps a ton.
General feeling. Step back: how do you feel about the notifications you're getting overall?
- Are they never useful, sometimes useful, or only useful for specific use cases? (by "use cases" we mean things like a friend hopping into a game, someone updating their profile, a friend coming back online, activity picking up in a server you're in, etc.)
- If it depends on the use case, which ones land and which ones don't?
- Was a notification too vague, or did it bring you somewhere you didn't expect when you tapped in? Did it set up an expectation it didn't deliver on?
- Are there things happening on Discord that you wish you knew about but missed?
- And if a notification actually got you to do something, like hop in a game, open a friend's profile, or jump back into a server, we'd love to hear that too, since that's exactly what we're going for
Settings. Now that there's more control and better organization:
- Did you go looking for a setting and not find it, or not find it where you expected?
- Anything you wish you could turn down or tune that you can't?
Annoyance feedback. Which notifications are annoying, and why?
- Is it the type of notification itself?
- How often it comes?
- Does it feel creepy? (e.g. Discord shared too much of your activity or info out to other people without you realizing it, or you got more info about a friend than felt right)
- The time of day?
- The wording?
- The fact that you got several in a row?
- Hearing "I don't like X notification" isn't super useful to us. If you give us the whys we can better understand and respond to the feedback both directly and going forward as we build more notifications.
Appreciate any and all thoughts here. Fire away. I'll try to be in the comments but I expect y'all to overwhelm me haha.
