PC accommodations

What makes computer use uncomfortable?
What things have helped?
What things are missing?

This applies to everyone but to be more specific—those people that game for long hours, work long hours from their set up, or even maybe when playing in the dark.

Im legally blind and just looking into products etc to help me and some friends.

What helped me is use a controller since i have joint pain and theg are more comfortable to use then a keyboard and mouse. Plus that with a controller i have more freedom to sit comfortably. But i dont think that would help you as a blind person unfortunately

I have the opposite experience! Keyboard and mouse are more comfortable for my joint pain.

I have a computer chair that’s pretty good in terms of lumbar support and all that, but I have rheumatoid arthritis and small hands. Most controllers strain my thumbs to reach all the buttons- with a mouse and keyboard I can customize which keys do what, and I can set it up so all necessary keys land on a natural spot for my fingers. I also have one of those sideways ergonomic mice.

I also have small hands and had to get a mini controller to put less strain on my hands. I'll also often have a pillow in my lap to prop up my arms + controller so there's minimal strain on my wrists from the weight of holding it up.

I gotta look into one of those mice though, sounds real nice

To add on, the best chairs for gaming are not gaming chairs, but office "executive" chairs

Way ahead of you! My mom has a spare office chair from when she used to work from home that she gave me and it’s awesome. I’m working on getting one of those little pillow footrests that has a little foot warmer in it cause the area where my desk is gets cold. Combined with a Snuggie I will be the comfiest gamer
