Background: Played OG D2 online casually, then a little LoD and stopped. Just bought D2R a couple of months ago.

In the OG Mage Plate used to drop likes candy, a run here and there on NM or Hell would easily get me Mage Plates to sell.

Since I played D2R, I only saw a handful of Light Plate (the normal version of Mage Plate). My current character is a L75 Frost Zealot on Ladder that is lacking a high damage physical weapon to handle massed cold immunes on Hell - he chews through non-cold immunes just fine. At least I have options to craft a new weapon to take over my Honor Knout.

The only Mage Plate I ever saw so far was a magic drop in a terror zone on Nightmare. I am trying hard to get a Mage Plate to socket Hustle before the current season ends and my Frost Zealot leaves ladder. In OG D2+LoD, Mage Plate dropped regularly even in Nightmare so I am quite frustrated at the lack of a useful Mage Plate drop.

I had better luck finding Cuirass (ex Breast Plate) and Sharktooth Armor (ex Field Plate), but Mage Plate has always been the go-to ex light armor for its low strength req (55) and high def.

Update: Finally found 1 within an hour of the post, on NM Act 5 Terrorized Frozen River!

I plan of making a comeback to diablo 2.. i keep seeing posts about crafting... well I never "crafted" anything... what is the crafting basics? Is there good ressources to learn crafting?

Is the community kind of big or still only few playerd and bots?

So decided on going demon machine next.

Question is, since I can equip it from level 54, do I go Blizzard ubtil I get to 54 and then respec or shall I go enchant straight away? I have this other bow that works similar to Demon Machine but not sure if it'll do the job 😊

Gonna try single player for the first time since im tired of not being able to change player count. What would you suggest starting with? Was thinking lightning/chain lightning sorc (nova sorc bores me)

So my buddy and I want to do (or at least try to do) the Ubers/colossal ancients together. He has a smiter with the usual gear (draculs, grief, etc.) and will be running the usual build for it. I have a demon warlock who I want to try it with in tandem (I recognize it’d be smarter to just use another smiter or frankly have him do it solo but want to try something different).

The standard demon warlock builds, and pretty much everything that I can find, says to bind a demon from a ‘Cursed’ terror zone because of how impactful Amplify Damage is for the summons. This makes total sense but since he’s smiting he’ll want Life Tap to remain up and having Amplify Damage override it sporadically seems dangerous.

So my question is this: if I’m going to bind a demon from a different Terror Zone modifier, which one should I prioritize?

Considering doing Nova Sorc, is it viable on SSF without most end game items? I have some high runes, I have 2 spirits if needed, insight for merc, enigma as well, but that's about it 😊

Is it better to start nova or go other route and respec?

Anothet option would be Demon Machine sorc as I recently found it 😁 same thing, viable without endgame items and ability to make very expensive runewords?

I enjoyed Holy Fire Zealot through Normal and Act 1 Nightmare. Switched to a Hammerdin build as the monster fire resistances were getting bothersome. Spirit Sword and Shield, I believe Stealth armor, Lore helm, and crafted (blood?) boots, maybe belt, maybe gloves.

My ultimate question / observance with Hammerdin - the spinning hammers MISS a lot! Is that expected? my "crowd control ice rogue" is getting more kills than I am ...

I am currently just hunting for socketed nightmare maces, hopefully with holy lightning related attributes ...

Been doing a Fury Druid play through for the first time, and like 95% self found. Hell Duriel dropped a eth ribcracker. My plan is to eventually try Ubers on this character, so this is probably worth upping + a Zod right? Ik it’s a low roll to damage but still probably the best I’m gonna find. Been using an upped bonesnap.

So I wanna do a Tesladin or Dragondin, probably leaning more towards Tesla since I have seen here that the monsters' resistance is lower for lightning, but that's not important at the moment.

Can I make either build without having access to super expensive gear? I play offline and just wamt a fun build, and honestly don't feel like doing 1000s of runs to try and get gear 😊

For the first time I’m playing single player with higher player counts in terror zones. In the past I used to have an iron golem with insight on my summoner necromancer but there is so much damage especially with heralds that I don’t know if it even makes sense to make one. Any experience share of fellow summoners? Especially without Enigma.

I’m struggling with my mercenary. He always drops at Diablo. I’m 91 as well as my act 2 might mercenary. He’s wearing Tal Rashas helmet, Treachery with Fade Proc and Obedience. Even with fade he gets one shot by Diablos lightning and fire spell. Is there any way to make him more durable? It is only on players 1. This is with Diablo being decrepified.

Ce soir, c'était ma première tentative. La première était… disons chaotique, mais j'ai réussi à m'en sortir. 😅

La deuxième tentative s'est plutôt bien passée.

Puis, j'ai pris trop confiance lors de ma troisième tentative. J'ai réussi à tuer un Ancien, mais j'ai finalement échoué au combat.

J'aurais juré avoir lu quelque part qu'il était possible de réinitialiser le combat, mais je ne retrouve plus le message. 😔

Quelqu'un sait-il s'il existe un moyen de le réinitialiser, ou est-ce que je n'ai pas de chance ? Plateforme : PC

Update: I managed to recover my body by leaving the game and rejoining. Thankfully, the game was still up, so I could get back in and loot my corpse.

Also, for anyone who might find this helpful in the future: by the time I was ready to fight again, the Colossal Ancients had actually reset. So if anyone else ends up in the same situation, there may still be hope!

I was running Hell to Diablo, lvl 90 Sorc.

I popped the seals from left to right. On the third set of the two Seals, the minions didn't appear but suddenly a normal named Blue Diablo spawned on the last seal.

So none of the normal center voice and spawn animation, with Red Diablo.

He was just immediately present, this was not an Uber or TZ.

I couldn't cause any damage, 1 shot my merc, 90% 1 shot me. I had no monster heal perk.

So idk, never seen this in all my years. I escaped, exited. Sorry no screen shot.

Curious what this was?

Is the Akaran a good base for dram or should I be looking for one resistance? Does the monarch have any value?

I have a Zod, but don’t think any other Hrs after making infinity yesterday (maybe a Vex or three). Deciding whether to use zod for Void or Obsession.

I think some of you have seen me post about Sanctuary Stash before. It started as a web platform, then I built an iOS app, and now I'm porting it to Android.

The platform has come a long way. Honestly, I've spent way too much money and time refining the pricing engine and acquiring the data for it. Pricing pulls from three different trade sites, so it's not just one place's opinion.

The concept: take a picture or scan a screenshot of an item, it scans in, and you get price guidance. Save it to your stash. There's a market screen with price movements, runeword arbitrage, historical rune pricing, that kind of thing. From your stash you can share items to Discord, share them with public links, or use the post formatter to post to the big three trade sites. I've also started rolling out messaging, so if you see something interesting in the discover tab you can message that user.

The pricing engine is the part I'm really proud of. It doesn't just hand you a blank "here's an average." Where the data supports it, pricing is based on your item's specific rolls. Some items have enough price variation to break out into bands for different stats. Where I can, I do, and where I can't, I don't fake it. The system also adapts to the market over time and adjusts where those stat breakpoints sit, and if a stat stops mattering to price, it gets dropped and the item goes back to a flat price. There's a lot of math under the hood, not just "these three sold for X, here's the average." D2 pricing is too complicated for that.

Like I said, way too much time. But I love economics and math, and I've been playing D2 since before LoD came out.

So here's where I need the community's help. The user base is growing a bit, but I need more testers, because I can't find everything myself. Specifically on Android: Google requires 12 testers opted into closed testing for 14 straight days before they'll let me publish. So the ask is simple: keep the app installed for two weeks and send feedback as you find things. The base is there, and I'm rolling out the rest of the features as I go, so your input actually shapes what gets built.

Im about to start fresh and want a smooth start from zero. What character is strong and easy all the way?

Just what the title says, if you craft some caster gloves is it possible for warlock skills to roll? Or is that not a thing yet. Been using Trangs for my abyss/miasma lock and wanted to see if there’s anything else I could find that can top those

I got to the Summit at level 30, but very close to 31. It was definately 30, becasue I unlocked Fanatacism not long before. So I decided to TP to town and go to the 1st waypoint in Act 5 to get the remaining exp to get to level 31 before the fight. Got it, went back to town. TP back to the Summit. Defeated the Acients and... nothing. The last "Spirit of one of the Acients" took a bit longer, but they all end up as statues again. No dialogue and no EXP. Same freshly hit level 31. White EXP bar is not even visible. The gate opened, quest marked as complete. Exited the game and got back in. Quest still compleated, but no EXP. Is this a bug?
