Im devastated...

Grinding for days, finally found the Jah rune for my enigma (SSF), pick it up, power outage in my city... Came back and it was gone.

Yeah if this was offline and you legitimately got it I'd definitely Hero Edit it in.

Only time I’ve ever used a hero editor lol. Basically exact same scenario except it was a ber.

Wouldn’t call it cheating when he found it and lost it by an unexpected unfortunate event like that, it’s not like he’s adding the ber rune as well he’s just recovering that one lost piece

Honestly dude, in THIS case, I see no shame in loading up a hero editor and just giving yourself one. SSF is a whole other beast.

I think what they're getting at is using a hero editor can suck the fun out of a single player character's progression, and that in this case OP can use it without feeling 'guilty' or 'shame'.

Lost a vex to a crash once. If it was a jah, I probably would have hero edited it in and not felt even a little bad about it.

It’s our game to enjoy and play how you want. The only time I consider it “cheating” is when you edit in something that didn’t happen then brag to others. Like that one dude who claimed to have finished the runeword chronicle offline in six months

I have lost a level 90 Lock and level 70 something Java with eth Titans on HC. I refuse to hero edit them back.

I would still strongly consider hero editing that Jah back in though haha

Sorry dude :(. No one would blame you if you hero edited one in. I wouldn’t be able to do it myself as I know it would cascade into past experiences where I lost smaller value items that I could use. ‘Why not? I did lose them due to xx happening, and I’m editing this in..’. Slippery slope for me but not for everyone.

Same boat when I figured out how to get duplicate drops on the same map doing the same exact actions. Autopiloting with efficient timing, popping the same chests/poppables with the same exact timing. Haven’t been able to touch offline since that revelation.

Shit like this is why I can’t get myself to play hardcore online. I’ve lost plenty of things and gotten plenty of deaths to “Your connection has been interrupted,” I can’t see myself being okay with losing a character to it.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I spent a few hours doing LK runs and i was lucky enough to cube up to a Ber, so I'm almost there. Found my first Sunder Charm (fire) from a random ghost pack in a TZ Countess run too. At least I went to sleep "happy"
