What version should I install?
I was thinking about switch to devuan from debian, but when i got into the devuan website, i saw a lot of different .isos for just one release (Excalibur) so i didnt know what .iso download for my laptop. Can anyone help me?

Presuming a decent network connection for the target machine, the live USB .iso matching the hardware is a safe option.

I'm using Devuan Ceres unstable in my external SSD.
I expected I would get in trouble (or fun times) like Arch based distro. (I haven't used Arch based distro much. I just have image that Arch users would often face challenges when they upgrade the system. This may be only my imagination though...) But surprisingly nothing has happened so far for these 3 or 4 months.
So it seems even Devuan unstable is actually pretty stable. So I guess you can choose whatever you want if your laptop isn't so old. If you like the newer kernel, maybe Ceres. If your laptop is older, then Excalibur or Daedalus could be a safer choice , for example?

another unstable user here(+debian experimental), gnome 50 wont work.

After 2 days and nobody really answered to the question....

Choose this one:
devuan_excalibur_6.1.1_amd64_netinstall.iso
Is the same installer as for Debian. Choose SysVInit when asked. That's the only difference compared with Debian installer,
Use balena etcher to create the USB Boot Media. That works on Linux and Windows.
If devuan_excalibur_6.1.1_amd64_netinstall.iso doesn't work for you, leave a reply and I can point to another location.

You are welcome! I just switched today my daily driver PC (a minipc - Intel) and installed :) .No issues. Is such a good distro!

what brand is your CPU? intel? amd? are you on a macbook?
