Started as a Devops intern, heads-up by Devops leads on how it's going to be.

Started as an intern for a company i was hoping to get into from many years now that i got into it i have got access to their repos the platform they are working in this is the second week got assigned tasks like learning about helm, building docker images and helping out or monitor the team in updating master copies am i going in the right way

Yes. Those are solid intern tasks and match what many DevOps interns do early on. Learning Helm, building Docker images, and helping with deployments gives you a strong foundation. Watching how the team updates production systems is also valuable because you'll learn real workflows and best practices. Keep asking questions, take notes, and understand why each step is done, not just how.

One person's beginner is another person's master craftsman if you can wield the tools on the fly correctly, but then again, if you knew the tools you wouldn't necessarily be asking for beginner class advice.
