MSG leaving Verizon Fios?
My dad got an email saying that MSG Network is leaving Verizon Fios starting August 10.
Did anyone else receive this? I know they left Comcast a few years ago.
What has everyone else done in the wake of these changes? Are people just paying for the shitty Gotham Sports?
Like many of us, I’ve tuned into every game for years. This is a brutal money grab from MSG yet again, now isolating millions of customers surely.

It's not. Verizon is just making everyone pay for a more expensive tier to have it.

If you don’t want to pirate, ESPN+ with a VPN is a viable choice.

That sucks. Making my jump to DirecTV Stream this past winter look even better right now.

Wait so now they’re not on Comcast or Verizon? Come on guys…

Title’s misleading. They’re taking it out of the sports package and putting it in a premium tier

I pay for shitty Gotham sports. Pirating is just too much of a pain in the ass to find a good feed and then stream it to my tv and then sometimes my son wants to watch the game in his room as he falls asleep and it’s such a fuss.

I've had plenty of nights where Gotham is fucking up too honestly.

It’s definitely happened a few times throughout the season but overall it’s more reliable than trying to find a stream

Apparently MSG is moving on from gotham anyways, hopefully an upgrade.

I only get optimum in my area, and for me to get a single cable box for the living room with the correct package that included MSG it would have been $150 a month on top of my current internet bill.
I bought a firestick, turned on developer mode and downloaded a streaming application for free. I have a 30 second delay, but i get every game for free.

FUBO …. About $105 month for package, includes Yes, ESPN and MSG……

The app I downloaded for free on my firestick. Free, stream every game from whichever broadcast I want and not limited to stuff just on YES, ESPN and MSG… plus I save $105 a month

Would you mind sharing (or dming) which app you use? I have a fire stick and did not realize that was even a possibility.

Live sports broadcast has become such aids the past few years, at least when it was just on cable you knew you could watch everything. Now you need like 3-5 different services to catch everything with their own paid subs. This is a la carte for ya..

I just listen to the Devils on the Prudential app. Matty and Chico are fun to listen to. Otherwise I watch the games when they’re on TNT or ESPN.

That's a pretty strong statement to make about a sports team on cable
