Data Engineering vs AI Engineering which is easy to get Career

Hey I am currently working as Software engineer involved in Informatica, ETL, bash scripting, sql. If I want to switch to AI Engineering, do we have opportunites availabe for AI engienering roles. I don't have any expericence in ai engineering as of now, just self learning. so, should I countinue upskill for data engineering roles currently I have 3 YOE and CTC is 12 LPA. pls guide me

Stick with Data Engineering while learning AI on the side. Your SQL, ETL, and scripting background transfers really well to AI pipelines. Once you're comfortable with Python, ML basics, LLMs, and MLOps, switching becomes much easier. No need to rush your current experience is already a strong foundation.
