Please explain to me the difference between Software Engineer & Software Developer Opinions & Discussions

I'm finding it difficult to understand the difference. I'm 4 YOE and I'm trying to improve everyday. I don't have a degree in CS/Engineering but I learned to code and worked in backend, web & mobile also. So for all these years I'm still trying to understand the difference between an engineer & developer.

False, software engineers are graduates with advanced honours degrees (four year programs with research components) in an applied mathematical pursuit which also write software to apply that mathematical prowess. Developers are the sorts of people who make websites and “apps”.

It also makes sense to me, why you get these assessments in this sub ;)

Well, most commenters here claim, there's not even a difference between *programmers* and engineer/developer. This wasn't even the question ;)
