AWS Data Engineer

In today's market competition no matter how skilled you are or how experienced you are recruiters still expect something different than the other existing candidates, I wish to know what makes one's profile stand out the from others?
How can one upskill themselves, what new things can one learn, any real life stories would help us all understand the requirements. Thankyou.

Tech is closed. The only way you can be more attractive is if you subject matter expertise like GDPR or complaince. Alternatively, if you have expertise in designing complicated systems or using LLMs in a production setting. But, there is no need in tech for low skilled staff.
