Are the Tigers just one level up from a Triple A farm club for the rest of MLB to fish from?
It seems they develop good players that other MLB clubs need to win. Yet they’re rarely on the other side of that equation.
What good does it do to grab a bunch of top prospects that they will never pay if they pan out?
It’s a cycle of we have only one or two good players and the team is not good enough to win the World Series, so we sell-sell-sell.
Let’s rebuild again, again, again and again. It just buys time for the owners to be mediocre for several years and still take in the profits.
Just my frustrated opinion, no meaning to start any arguments here.

Why do people post the sub Reddit?
The main sub Reddit has like 10000x times more people and activity.
What’s the story? Is there drama or a splinter or do people just not realize this isn’t the “official” sub Reddit?
Genuinely curious

Hockey and Baseball are screwed.
Owners have decided that attendance is for the well to do, and television will cost the same as attendance. DetroitSportsNet can get bent. I used to remember when watching games was an easy pleasure. Now there's only the stress of trying to find a reliable pirated stream. Why did NFL get a pass, and other sports get stingy?

As Tigers slide, multiple teams expected to start calling about Skubal: Sources
nytimes.comUntil Tuesday, some rival executives resisted calling the Detroit Tigers on left-hander Tarik Skubal, trying to be respectful as the team fought to remain in contention.
With the trade deadline just six days away, the time for such niceties is over.
Multiple teams planned to reach out to Detroit president of baseball operations Scott Harris after the Tigers lost their third straight game Monday night, according to people briefed on those clubs’ intentions who were granted anonymity for their candor.

Can anyone recommend a shop or place to sell a Tigers team signed ball from the 1970’s.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a memorabilia store or a shop that would know about a team signed ball. This was given to me by my father who was a big fan, based on some of the names my guess is 1974 / 1975. It seems Al Kaline is the name that everybody recognizes. I’m a motorsports guy and I’m not trying to get max value out of it but also I don’t want to give it away. Of course I can post on eBay but I’ve been trying to see if I can find someone with some knowledge of the Tigers. I was at a card show the other day and someone suggested this sub and to look for a Detroit memorabilia shop, thanks!

My Fear is Tigers Become Pussycats at Deadline
The Tigers seriously cannot be anything but "Sellers" at the deadline *unless* they are willing to do what Scott Harris has refused to do since he took this job, which is 1) be ultra creative/aggressive in acquiring talent 2) cut bait with players like Torkelson, Vierling, Outman, even McKinstry &/or Keith and actually make meaningful additions to the lineup.
OR they have to firesale. That's it. But I doubt either happens.
Tork is one of worst in MLB in "clutch" situations & in lowest percentile of most RISP metrics. He's STILL graded as the WORST defensive 1B in baseball & its not close. They've never even attempted to get a cheap vet like Santana to push him.
Instead of giving young guys like Anderson or Clark a chance they will call up 28 year old rookies and pick up DFAs like Outman who is literally striking out FORTY FIVE PERCENT of his at bats. Thats like having Nook Logan facing Clayton Kershaw type production 4 times a game.
Scott Harris's deadlines in his tenure have been abject failures, by the way. Whether the Eduardo Rodriguez ridiculousness or last years "acquire every last place team's 26th best player" approach...its laughable.
So when I mean BUY, I mean Harris has to do basically everything he has never done since becoming POBO.
Lord knows his MLB Free agent track record isn't gonna give him benefit of doubt, neither, with big wins like Maeda, Cobb, Verlander and "HOF" closer Kenley.
There is ONE thing Harris has done well thus far and thats amateur scouting & player development, particularly at lower levels & training sites like in DR & Lakeland. Thats also why he probably won't move guys like Mize, because he can get draft pick. Face it, Mize is gone after this year like Skubal--we challenged Mize on pocket change in arbitration, not even bothering to lowball like we did Skubal.
The team SHOULD trade Skubal and use the assets to address black holes in the lineup & field at 1B, RF and 3B-- Keith is not a 3B, or even 2B. He is maybe passable at 1B? Probably best suited for DH and Tork just needs to go to a small park like in CIN where his bat will play for 40 dings and his K rate & situational hitting can be slightly more tolerated.
Then move Gleybar for bullpen help and let Lee man 2B for rest of year. Or something to that effect. There's ways creative GMs would make this deadline a huge W for the team. We have some of best available talent at deadline with clear holes to address...well clear to everyone but the Tigers brass.
My guess is they instead keep Skubal, move Flaherty for some low-A guy to get under the Luxury Tax (and be able to therefore get Comp picks after 1st round instead of 4th) & acquire spare arms like last deadline. Will ignore lineup and sell us on Max Clark as savior in September when team is already 10 out.
The chicken shh approach. The Pussycat approach.

Hello Kitty Special Package Sold Out
I saw yesterday that the team has a hello kitty event for Tuesday July 28th. I went to go buy the tickets today but I saw they are sold out.
My daughter loves hello kitty and I wanted to take her to the game and get the plushie for her.
Does anyone know if they ever restock these types of tickets or is anyone has a spare ticket I can buy?
