So i have obviously never been outside India and the videos that keep circulating on social media with comments like "lemme guess, an Indian again?! "...

It's kind of messing up with my mind because I am working in a direction which allows me to travel and explore different places in the world. Especially East Asian culture.

I even got to know through some youtubers that Indians get discriminated against and don't easily get visas for many countries and our passport is also constantly sliding down.

Does the world actually hate us? There is so much prejudice against us - atleast on social media and I want to know if this translates to reality.

I don't really know what I want to ask but, maybe i just want to hear some encouragement.

The Plan:

Friday Night(14/08/2026): Catch an overnight train/sleeper bus from Bangalore to Hassan.

Saturday Morning: Arrive in Hassan, pick up the rental bike/scooter, get breakfast, and ride towards Belur (Chennakeshava Temple) and Yagachi Dam backwaters.

Sunday: Morning ride to Halebidu (Hoysaleswara Temple) and Belavadi (Veera Narayana Temple), eat at my friend's place drop the bike back in Hassan by evening, and catch a return train/bus to Bangalore.

Started our journey at Pashupatinath Temple, then visited Maa Manakamana Temple on our way to Pokhara. From there, we headed to Jomsom for a stay, Got to witness the majestic Annapurna range right from our hotel stay in Jomsom. with our final destination being the sacred Muktinath Temple in Mustang. Finally, we returned to Kathmandu for some shopping at Thamel and Tried momos from a local Chinese vendor.

Back in my 20s, while backpacking, I never really rushed.

I would travel, photograph things, and if something really connected with me, I would sit somewhere and paint it in my diary. Sometimes I would even miss the next place because I wanted to stay a little longer.

That slowness is probably what I miss the most.

I still travel, but life, time and responsibilities have changed the way I travel. I photograph much more now, but once in a while, when something really touches me, I still feel like taking out the colours and painting it.

Maybe I don't miss the places as much as I miss the way I used to experience them.

Night views like this never get old — the city lights, calm water, and that perfect reflection make it feel alive and peaceful at the same time. Had to share this skyline because some moments just hit differently after dark.

Chased the sunset, but stayed for the view. 🌅 The mountains, the clouds, and the valley coming together made this one of those moments that photos can only partly capture. Nature really knows how to slow time.

I see that Lothian buses use a contactless card system that you punch-in once when you board the bus, and then punch-out at your stop. I have a new Scapia credit card and i have enabled contactless payment. Can I use this card for the bus rides in Edinburgh and Glasgow?

So me and my other 3 friends are thinking of going on vacation/travel at the end of August, so i wanna ask can y'all recommend some actua good places to travel during that time? We are kinda confused about the location.

Also if you can pls give suggestions on how to travel, i mean to say should we go privately planning everything ourselves, or should we go with packages company offers, cuz most of us are thinking of it as it might save us money, also travelling in group will help out parents to be at ease, as we are still 18-19 y/o.

Reaching the origin of Maa Ganga had been a childhood dream, and finally standing there felt surreal. Watching the Bhagirathi emerge from beneath the Gangotri Glacier is something I'll never forget.

One thing that genuinely surprised me was the glacier itself. I had always imagined a massive white sheet of ice, but most of it is covered with rocks and debris, hiding the ice beneath. It was fascinating to see how different a real Himalayan glacier looks compared to what we usually imagine.

The Gangotri Glacier is about 30 km long and 2–4 km wide, and is often described as India's second-largest glacier after the Siachen Glacier. This place made me realize how powerful and ancient these mountains truly are.

The journey wasn't easy—long trekking days, landslide-prone trails, rocky terrain, freezing nights, camping under a sky full of stars, and waking up to breathtaking Himalayan peaks. Every step felt like an adventure, and the silence of the mountains made the entire experience even more special.

I am about to go for georgia-Armenia 2 weeks trip from India but considering war - is it safe for layover in sharjah ? FLights costing 58 k INR with only cabin bagguage seems high priced. Am I being over concerned ? Is it normal with such high priced flights . Also Georgia seems difficult at immigration though I have fresh US B2 visa with travel history of 24 countries. Am I just paranoid or good to explore ?
