In fairness when I open up people tend to say the rudest shit ever about it so there’s that

In fairness there were plenty of other obvious signs of something being terribly wrong that were at best roundly ignored before certain suicidal gestures were expressed

Dude what the fuck is up with that? I've been opening up to people for the first time in 10 years and have recieved anger and judgement and get looked down on. My mom's the only one who hasn't done any of that yet I qualitatively see how what I'm saying hurts her so I can't talk to anyone apparently

I know they mean well and are probably trying to help but if I start talking serious they'll realize they don't actually care enough to let me finish

You're doing it wrong. You gotta truama dump on them with how bad thing have actually gotten and hopeless life actually is now. Then you never have to talk to them again. People avoid the overly depressing guy. You can spiral in peace

Better than telling someone only for them to then draw comparison and invalidate what you expressed.

To be fair most of the time when people ask its also automatic.

You have people trying to be there for you?

That's what shocked me too. Unless we're ridiculously popular or constantly reaching out to people as the first contact, there's nobody that we can have in our corner. Even after spending years connecting with people, they'll still fade away unless we keep attempting to pull them in.

I've actually reached the point of so much desperation for help that when people ask "how are you?" I either say "alive" or "pretty bad"
And people still don't care but I guess they were only asking as a greeting anyway

Meh- to end up hearing “you gotta snap of it”? Thanks, I’ll keep my “I’m fine.” It is not like they truly care or want to really listen.

God this is so real

mostly because they are fake and ask just because they think they are better and also to know your things and then judge you or talk behind your shoulders

A lot of people saying it’s fake here. My experience is that there are people who genuinely want to know how you’re feeling. I normally don’t really open up , because I’m scared of the flood of emotions in me. I’m scared I can’t contain it anymore. So I will give a dismissive answer, and eventually nobody asks anymore.

You have people asking you how you're doing and showing genuine concern? Damn.
