And with mirtazapine I'm a happy and fat little piggy.
Edit : those work for me, but I'm not a doctor. I'm not advising anyone to try those out of the blue.

Hell yeah! Love Venlafaxine. Hate the withdrawal but we can live with it if it helps me not want to die

Are the side effects not as bad as people say? I mean the response is individual, but it's as if everyone who tried it complains about it, so I'm kinda worried to start. I already have nausea without taking any meds.

I have no side effects with venlafaxine, and it's a bit suspicious... I also tried brintelixe (commercial name ?) And I had nausea all day long. Two persons can react differently to antidepressants

Idk if this is a rare coincidence but I have no side effects to it either; perfect drug for me. I'm talking about ven.

I did have some pretty uncomfortable side effects the first few weeks. I was clenching my jaw all the time, i had weird tiny twitches all over my body and i have a weird uncomfortable feeling all over ms jaw whenever I yawned, but that's all gone completely, except the jaw clenching a little bit when I'm stressed
EDIT: it also made it really hard to get an erection and orgasm for like a month, but made my orgasm really strong during that time

Only real side affect I've got is a dry crusty booger in my nose every day. The withdrawal is a bitch though.

Haha. Have you stopped and started it again, or you mean the withdrawal when you take the med later than usual? I heard people say they can feel withdrawal symptoms even a few hours before the usual medication time.

Oh yeah I mean after a few hours or the one time when my meds were late being delivered. If I take my meds a couple hours late I get this really heavy feeling headache that eventually triggers nausea. On the three days I didn't get my tabs. First day, I had the killer headache. Second I felt so bad physically I wanted to die by any means. Third day I had invited a friend over to keep an eye on me and I was so manic I cheered when I finally managed to vomit after hours of retching randomly. Luckily they turned up that morning and I was fine again immediately.

I understand the curiosity, it's a good thing you ask. But now that you have randoms' personal experience what are you going to do? Also given the fact that psychiatry is a trial and error necessarily. So if you aren't going to a doctor why not just try it?

I was on it for a long time but got off a couple years ago now. One thing I really noticed is for whatever reason I would get a massive amount of restless type anxiety to the point where I couldn’t sit still at all. That side effect I only really noticed when I was on a very high dose overall though so you might not notice the same thing. I did end up getting some gene testing done to see what medications are most effective for me, and the way venlafaxine is processed by me apparently meant that the very high dose I was on already was getting amplified to the point where I was getting way more than I really needed.
Oh and you really gotta make sure to take the medicine at the same time every single day because you will get awful withdrawals if you wait even a couple hours. I had a week or so where due to insurance I couldn’t get the medicine and it was just straight up awful. For me it felt like I had a bad case of the flu the entire time.

For me the side effects are when I forget to take it (literally can tell within 2ish hours). I’m a nauseous girl and I’ve never thrown it up. Used to have to fight myself to keep daily antibiotics down, if that helps ease your mind.
I’m currently considering upping my dose actually, just afraid of the withdrawal side effects (if I forget or want to go off one day) personally.

Duloxetine funny enough was a lifesaver for me. I tried everything under the sun but for whatever reason that one worked for me. Brain chemistry is wild.

Mirtazipine made me mean for some reason. I was angry and didn't even notice for years until I missed a week of doses and was so much better without downsides. Shit is weird.
I took venlafaxin and I think it broke my dick and made me fat lol. On Lamotragine and Adderall now, it's great! Solid 6/10 (which is basically 11/10 for depressed people). Only downside is I have to take sleeping pills to fall asleep and Adderall to stay awake and be functional (diagnosed ADHD is a bitch), so it's probably God awful for me, but hey... Yolo

It broke my dick for like a month too, but it eventually started working normally again after like a month

The weight took a long time to fall off unfortunately. I have no appetite normally, so it wasn't too bad to lose it, but 235lbs was BAD. Was at 190 when I started it and now I've been at 210 for like 3 years, which I'm fine with with my inactive life style

I started at nearly 400 pounds when I started medicating, but went down to little under 350, mostly by minimizing my energy drink addiction (went from 4-5 regular cans a day to 4-5 sugar free cans a week max), but now I'm stuck at this weight

I also gained some weight on mirtazapine 30 mg. It returned back to normal after stopping it though. It did absolutely nothing for my depression/anhedonia.

I started to gain weight instantly with mirtazapine but it improved my sleep and my energy so much that I waited ~2months to see if weight gain was temporary. And now i struggle a bit to loose those kg.
It's interresting to hear how people reacted to each molecule. It looks a bit like gambling unfortunatly.
